Neglectful and Dishonest
Overall felt neglected & avoided by Bhatia. Was driven to ER by my husband & Mom for a ruptured ectopic pregnancy and it took them 4.5 hours to get me into surgery (I needed life saving emergency— it was way too long to wait for an operating room). I lost 75% of my blood before they got me into an operating room. Dr Bhatia never told my family waiting for me what happened in my surgery, he left right away and avoided them. He waited to follow up with me until a FULL DAY after my surgery, while I laid in the hospital bed wondering which organs had been removed, and even then when he showed up, he lied and said he was only a phone call away (the nurses had tried calling him for hours all day with no callback so this was a lie.) When he discharged me three days later he explicitly told me he would check my stitches and recovery personally in his office two weeks later, but when I called his office to schedule they said he doesn’t see patients for surgery followups.

He delivered my baby girl, and let me just say I wish I has another Dr. My first time meeting him he didn't present himself to me I literally would wait 2 hours for him to get the the Dr. office and for him to just tell me : everything looks good see you next week" Are you kidding me! i then delivered my baby and i couldn't walk for almost 3 weeks remind you i had my baby natural. so i went to the ER the Dr.s called him, he was so mad the ER Dr. even looked surprised of is reaction when i followed up with him the next day he literally told me " i don't need other Dr.s waking me up at 2am" i couldn't believe it i just wanted to cry instead of asking what's going on that's the first thing he told me. I you have a choice to go to another Dr. please go. and if your reading this Dr. i HOPE you change the way you are because your bringing a life to this world and should be proud and happy instead your so angry.

I had my son via emergency c-section in 1999. Thank God this guy was the obgyn surgeon available at Long Beach Memorial during that time. He is not friendly nor is he fatherly or chatty. He was however, precise, knew what he was doing and he will get you and your child out of there alive. Fast forward to when I had my other son in 2016, my obgyn teamed up with this guy for my scheduled c-section. I was on the cold metal table and my ob and Dr. Bhatia were chatting about my surgery 15 years ago. I felt like I was in the nail salon while 2 ladies are chit chatting in Vietnamese. I told them, guys, I'm numbed but I can hear you chatting about me. As my ob gyn says, Dr Bhatia is never going to win Mr. Congeniality anywhere, but if your life is on the line, this guy is your guy.

He was the on call doctor when I had my son in Memorial in 2014. He was rude, unprofessional and had terrible bedsidr manner. I shared this with the City of Long Beach liaison. I hope he retires soon.

Our experience with Dr. Bhatia was extremely friendly and professional. Both my Daughters had their deliveries supervised by him and I have great respect. Very happy to say that I'm thankful he was there. The Nursing Staff at Long Beach Memorial were equally excellent. Thanks.

Worst Dr. ever! He was the doctor on call for the day I had my daughter, turns out she was in a bridge position and from a regular Dr. appointment ended up in the hospital with this doctor for a c-section. He was very rude, and questioned all my request, before the surgery I ask him if I can hold my daughter right after taking her out, his words...”she is going to be all dirty, full of fluids and all kinds of stuff “ “Are you sure you want to hold her like that?” Can you believe this!

My Dr. was away on vacation and he was Dr. on call for that night at Memorial Hospital. This Dr. is terrible, poor bedside manner kept pushing that I have vaginal labor even though the baby hated all the contractions and I was dead tired after almost 36 hrs in labor. The poor nurses kept excusing him for his behavior. The worst experience and I still needed a c section, an emergency one, thanks to him my husband missed the birth thinking he had time. I hope I never see this man again.

He was the rudest Doctor I've ever come across, unfortunately my doctor was on vacation and this doctor assisted my birth. I've had so many complications and still dealing with them 3months post partum. I couldn't walk for over a month. I feel he was medically negligent and should just quit already or retire. He was in such a horrible mood and extremely rude. If you hear his name run, don't look back just run!!! He deserves a -star
