Dr. Narayan Verma, MD

This doctor is horrible and needs to retire. I’ve been experiencing dementia for the past 15 months. His office claimed he was experiencing in dementia but he didn’t know that eegs and certain bloodwork is normal in tpd. He refused to do a spinal tap which would have answered if I had pseudo dementia or tpd dementia. He also told me early onset dementia is only in Down syndrome cases (he used the derogatory term) He medically gaslit me and refused to listen to me or my husband and didn’t believe us. He fixated on it being caused by depression when I was in the best health when the dementia started. He told me he was better than the Mayo Clinic or Harvard. His ego gets in the way of care! He ended by telling me to enjoy my normal cognitive functioning when I can’t even drive or manage my own care because of the dementia! He also lied about my test results and put me on cholesterol meds when my cholesterol levels are normal.

Simply the best neurologist in southeastern Michigan. No doubt about it! Why send to U of M when the best academic neurologist is around the corner. When the U of M neurologists do not figure out stuff, Dr Verma does, he is worth extra few min. I saw it first hand in a basketball coach, who was considered doomed after a so called allergic reaction to spinal fluid dye after myelogram leading to quadriplegia. Dr Verma relentlessly debunked the hypothesis, was able to get an MRI cervical spine despite a bullet elsewhere in his body and diagnosed compressive cervical myelopathy. He was right! Neurosurgical relief led to patient walking again!

I have just recently started seeing Dr. Verma & thus far his practice has been EXCEPTIONAL. I have a very busy schedule, and his office & the Dr. have been very accommodating, I have had responses directly from the Dr. well after normal business hours. The staff has always been very friendly, appointment times have been kept, and they have even called when they had a cancellation to see if I wanted to come in earlier than scheduled. My office visits were not rushed & I feel as though each person I interacted with listened and took my points to heart, nothing condescending like I have experienced in the past at other Dr.'s. If you have neurological needs, or sleep issues (or any other because I think they are that capable) I highly recommend making an appointment.
