Dr. Nanjappa Sreenivas, MD

This was my first psychiatric appointment and he wanted me to talk about my problems and instead helping me, he called me a chicken for being scared of men and a lesbian for not wanting to date men (I had just turned 19 and had no interest in dating). Super unprofessional and extremely rude. I had cried in the bathroom and never went back to a psychiatrist again due to this experience.

My sister was berated by this “dr” instead of him evaluating her husband who suffers from damage from cancer. He yelled at her, accused her of negligence and never read the file. She has done nothing the best for her husband and literally saved his life at least twice. He did not evaluate her husband and refused to read text from him and it is the only way he can communicate since he can not speak. He needs to have his license taken away before he causes more harm. No compassion whatsoever.

Dr. Sreenivas and his staff are always friendly and professional. Their genuine concern always comes through in both office visits and televisits.

The doctor is very interested in what you have to say and especially about how you are feeling and well being.

Terrible experience! When I was called into his office, he didn't introduce himself - no pleasantries such as "how are you today?" just ignored me until he was ready to talk. He made me feel as if what I was suffering from was all in my head and that I was in the wrong place. He questioned why I was so old but unmarried (which has no bearing on my mental health) and that gave me misogynistic vibes. He asked me questions I didn't know how to answer and then I did, he would scoff. I ended the appointment abruptly and left while having a panic attack. For the next hour, I suffered from the panic attack and was having constant suicidal thoughts. I absolutely do not recommend this doctor for anyone seeking mental illness help.

Dr. Sreenivas seems to be grossly out of touch. When I told him that my physician had recommended Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and asked if they did that there, he asked me what that was. I was also made to choose on my first visit whether I wanted therapy OR medication. I chose therapy since I fear the addictive properties of many medications. I once had a panic attack in his office. His response was to tell me that wasn't panic. I was just afraid and stop being afraid.

This doctor needs to be reevaluated as a psychiatrist. I first of all waited an hour before being seen. Then when I was seen it was very hard to understand what he was saying. Then he contradicted himself by saying he wants all his patients to be on a natural medication of life? What in the world? I think he's gone mad. After talking with me for 15 minutes he asked me what medication I wanted and what mg? Are you serious ... last time I checked I'm not an MD .. how the hell am I suppose to know!
