Dr. Nandha Kanagarajan, MD

I had my 1st colonoscopy on June 28, 2024 at Atlanta Gastroenterology. I had no problems with scheduling, checking-in or the procedure. Everyone was very kind and helpful. I was nervous abt the procedure and really appreciated the extra care that Savannah, Richard, Ruby, Sheri and Dr Kanagarajan provided. I highly recommend seeing them!

Started seeing Dr K before covid. He was great then but after covid service with him and his staff went way down hill. Could never get a hold of anyone in the office. Refusing to answer emails in the portal or return phone messages. Was supposed to be seen for several GI issues that he would always guess at what was wrong. Saying one thing at one appointment and something different at the next. Had a CT done by a different doctor and specialist who found a hernia then Dr K doesn't even acknowledge the hernia with other ongoing symptoms. Orders more and more test then won't even go over results and finally brushes you off you his PA who says it's all in your head even though several test show something is wrong and then PA says they won't treat you anymore and refer you out to another specialist.

Your intervention with my problem at the hospital was excellent. Your bedside manner is superb and made me feel comfortable and hopeful. I loved your positive manner and ability to make sure I understood the situation. Thank you again for all you do.

I was very nervous to come to this appointment. When I walked in, I was greeted with nothing but smiles. There was no paperwork, rather everything is filled out via tablet. It wasn’t very exhausting or extensive. That is certainly nice for a change! The doctor ran pretty much on time! Especially considering he is a specialist and patients’ problems can be very extensive and complicated. Dr. K was very personable and thorough!! Even though he had medical records from my past, he wanted to hear my history/story from ME in order to get a true history of events! That meant so much to me as I suffer from an autoimmune disease that is still semi undiagnosed and potentially contributing to the reason that I was referred to him. I had labs done and will go back soon for an ultrasound of my liver. He took his time, even when I had a question I forgot to ask and caught him in the hall on my way out. He wasn’t short or annoyed. From my experience, you won’t be disappointed!

I liked Dr. K. He asked a lot of direct questions in order to learn more about me as a patient and I liked that. He is very knowledgeable. Makes you feel comfortable.

He made sure I was both comfortable physically and mentally/emotionally before the exam. He is very personable. I wish he could be my primary care doctor, that’s how much I like him!

Dr. K has always provided exceptional care for my routine screenings, but this time I was in need of emergency care for a previous lab proven diagnosis I had been battling for weeks (not Covid related). I called late on a Friday, but got an appointment first thing Monday morning. Dr. K saw me right away and was aware of my significant immunocompromised state and underlying condition that was complicating the issue even though he hadn’t seen me in several years. He is so smart, to the point, and efficient at what he does. I always leave feeling very cared for by him. His staff is very efficient too and I thank them as well.

Dr. K is very polite and takes time with his patients. He truly cares and wants to help you. He wants you to get better. If it had not been for his Medical office assistant Renee, I would probably not be here today!! Thank you ALL for taking such great care of me!!!

Everyone _the receptionists, Evelyn, and the woman who scheduled my exam and Dr. Kanagarajan were very helpful, pleasant and professional. I'm so happy I was referred to Dr. Kanagarajan.

Very informative. The doctor listened to my issues and spent time explaining what to expect and the necessary treatments in a way that I could easily understand.

I was worried about an unspecified hemmorhoids diagnosis I received from my GP,so I followed up with Dr. K. He quickly put me at ease and I left with peace of mind.

Yes, i was very impressed with Dr. K. He was concerned, took the time to read all the findings of my recentX-rays, scans and MRI and put it all together. He analyzed the findings, discussed his findings, and made an intelligent diagnosis, and recommendations. My son concurs. I am fortunate to have been recommended to him by Dr. Kessler.

Dr. Kanagarajan explained everything in detail. I would follow him to the ends of the earth. I love and trust him.
