Rude
After a recommendation from my GP, I called to make an appointment. The person that answered the phone was rude and dismissive.

Disappointing
I was a longtime patient of Dr. Aria only to learn she stopped taking my insurance. No warning and no referral to another dermatologist. Very disappointing experience.

I think Dr. Aria is fabulous. I have gone to her for seven years and have been very happy. She is warm, friendly, professional and a very good listener. She has found some basal cell skin cancer on my arm. She’s always happy to look at spots I am concerned about. I highly recommend her and the people in her office. They’re all great!

Please please do not use this doctor for anything if you care about your health. Unfortunately, we were referred to this office by our primary care doctor and when I recently got a new job I made sure that I picked the insurance that this practice accepted. My son waited in the waiting room with an emergency condition while I tried to confirm the policy number since the insurance office didn't open for an hour after his appointment. But the doctor refused to see him until he had that number. He called me crying from his car when they told him he would be considered self pay and that he should just go to some walk in clinic instead. Since this doctor feels that her practice is actually her bedroom and she is just going to create a clique of patients that possibly don't even have real problems, please look elsewhere for someone who actually wants to provide medical care. Horrible.

I have been a patient of Dr. Aria's for six years. I've always found Dr. Aria to be curt, but also sharp, professional, and good at her job. I called today to schedule my annual skin cancer exam with her. The gruff answer from the receptionist was that she was no longer doing cancer screening exams for her patients. I asked if, with this new policy, Dr. Aria offered any recommendations for other dermatologists who might deign to give me an exam. The answer was no, and "just call around." I have a LOT of funky spots & moles all over my body, and I have always considered a skin cancer exam a critical part of my medical care strategy. Too bad Dr. Aria doesn't feel the same way. I think maybe she's no longer a real dermatologist: just an expensive cosmetologist hawking expensive snake oil. My advice: if you seek a dedicated, caring physician for your medical dermatological needs, look elsewhere.

I only go yearly for my annual mole check up. Been going for a number of years. She has removed several of my nagging moles (freezing). She is extremely efficient. I highly recommend

I have had excellent experience with Dr. Aria. Especially finding and isolating Basal and Squamous Cell Carcinomas and referring me to an excellent MOHS Surgeon at Fairfax. She is thorough, respectful and very sharp. She is not a chop shop like Dr Glassman’s at Kenmore Avenue. Her education also is outstanding.

Office and Staff are very professional, as well as Dr. Aria, but to be honest, Dr. Aria is overly arrogant and seems to only take full care of those who seem to have a certain economic status or a certain amount of wealth. Dr. Aria did not request a follow up, nor did she make the best recommendation for my condition. Perscribed medicine was useless. I recommend seeing a Dermatologist who cares for all of their patients.

I had a wonderful visit with Dr. Aria. I am new to NoVA and I made an appointment for my annual skin check. She was incredibly thorough and attuned to details. She suggested a few places to watch . I really enjoyed her bedside manner.

Had an excellent examination. She was thorough, thoughtful and provided me a great deal of feedback. Took time to answer questions I had about spots and then more on cosmetic procedures. She is very personable and provided sound advice. Last Dermatologist I talked to about one procedure just told me to think about it and come in. Dr. Aria told me why that procedure may not be right for me with her rationale. And her Nurse Practicioner was good too.

Both my daughter and I go to Dr. Aria and have had quite positive experiences. The wait is never long, the staff goes above and beyond to assist you, and Dr. Aria is very easy to talk to. She is efficient, personable, and very good at what she does.

As I am a physician (psychiatrist) I can evaluate another physician beyond personality characteristics. That said, I did find that Dr. Aria had a very pleasant and warm personality. Dr. Aria was referred by my internal medicine doctor, who clearly had confidence in her competence. My presenting issue was a single suspicious lesion, but I also said I thought I should have an overall evaluation. Although not scheduled for that, Dr. Aria took the time to do a full-body exam and remove 2 lesions.
