Dr. Nalin Mehta, MD

Spend ms a LOT of time explaining things in a manner which I can understand; doesn’t rush you out.

I like Dr. Mehta’s manner and appreciate his staff is both professional and friendly. But in the many years I have been his patient one big irritant remains, he is almost never on time. As one reviewer mentioned even morning appointments can run an hour or more behind. Thinking about finding a different retina specialist for this reason.

He’s a good doctor but regularly over schedules his office visits. He schedules 2-3 patients at the same time. I have had more than one visit with my mother where I have waited 1 1/2 or two hours. This is in morning appointments when you don’t expect things to be piled up. He takes advantage of these older people knowing they won’t complain too much, and of course Medicaid pays for all so the more the merrier!

Dr Mehta is compassionate and caring, while demonstrating great skills with my care; always have great conversations during visits with all my questions answered.

Mehta 3 full surgeries to repair detached retina. The first exam at Denver Eye Dr. told me my eye is dying. My retina was never attached. Dr. Oliver attached my retina and removed over 200 gobules of oil behind my retina. I have had 8 surgeries, numerous steroid shots, am completely blind in left eye, in pain, buying a $5000 ocular prothesis if fails eye removal. No $ for attorney, job loss severe life changes Mehta will not respond. I trusted him feel disrespected. 73 yrs old, fixed income.

I have seen Dr. Metah for several years two separate times. I'm very please with his services - he does not recommend things that aren't needed and explains things well. I have never had a bad experience .
