Lack of any manners and empathy.
As a physician myself I am appalled at her lack of any sort of bedside manner. She is condescending and short. She does not like to answer any questions and if you ask she will look at you like you are idiot. As an ER physician myself I told her we carry an epi pen for my peanut allergic daughter and she ask ' do you now how to use one' Then she without waiting for an answer she started to show me as if I dont know. She did not want to take even a second to listen to any of the medical hx and that we had had testing done in IL prior to moving to Atl. It seemed like she just wanted to push her testing on to us even thought it was not indicated. I would never go here again. The office staff is great but this is the worse physcian I've come across.

Dr. Nam has definitely changed in a good way. When we first saw her years ago she was not as warm and friendly, but rather short with us and somewhat cold. Now she is warm, caring and very friendly. She has always been a good doctor, but now she is a great doctor because of the care she shows. That makes all the difference. I highly recommend Dr. Nam.

Stay Away
My first review was removed . . . . . After 30 years of being treated by this practice I saw Dr Nam for the first time. She told me I was too much of a risk for her medical license and refused to treat me. Furthermore she disposed of MY extract, extract that I paid for, so I couldn't continue injections elsewhere and had me blacklisted within the practice. 30 years of monthly injections with zero complications and suddenly I'm too much of a risk. FIND SOMEONE ELSE!

Nothing but helpful
The doctor and staff at Atlanta allergy have done more for me in the two years seeing them than ten years at Kaiser. They diagnosed my drug allergy and prescribed the medicine I needed, which stopped my progressing nasal polyps and sinus congestion. On my last visit she gave me a new nasal mist to treat a reoccurring condition.

Rude
Telehealth
Based off of Dr. Nam’s attitude she must really deal with a bunch of idiots. I only say this because that’s how she will treat you, like you’re an idiot. She is very abrasive, condescending and short. Talks over you when you start to speak and doesn’t explain the whys behind what she is doing. All of this has lead wasted time. The rest of the team though are all very sweet, kind and caring.

Waste of an appointment
I saw Dr Nam because the doctor I usually see is not in. She was short and not helpful. I asked questions and she seemed to be irritated that I didn’t just accept her plan without question. She repeated her answer the same way even though I kept saying I didn’t understand what she was saying. I got more information in a way that I understood from the nurse who does allergy shots than from the doctor.

Would not recommend
I would not recommend this doctor or practice at all. They constantly refused to adhere to requests for non-verbal communications due to being speaking impaired, and the final straw was being seen by a PA when it was supposed to be the doctor. Horrible doctor and horrible practice.

Condescending Bedside Manners - Mediocre Care
I saw Dr. Nam for 2 years for my Asthma and my experience was fairly awful. The worst part was the belittling attitude in which she treated me throughout. If you want to understand anything about your Asthma, the meaning of your test results, or ways to treat and prevent your condition Dr. Nam is not the doctor for you. She will stare at you like you are an idiot if you ask any questions regarding details (let alone methodology).Aside: as an Engineer, I find it disconcerting that she's completely unaware of the causation-correlation fallacy when it comes to her prescribed treatments. As a patient and person, I find it hurtful and dangerous that she adopt a condescending attitude whenever I ask any questions.

Allergy test
Dr. Nam was knowledgeable about food allergies. However, I left the office feeling confused. She used “doctor” terms which is fine but for someone who isn’t in the field, I was clueless on what she meant. When I asked questions to clarify what she meant she simply repeated what she had stated which was not helpful at all. Food allergies is a scary situation and she did not help me feel confident.

Not Friendly
This was my 1st visit meeting with Dr.Nam via television. She was extremely cold and short. She asked questions that should have been answered per the medical records that were sent over to the office. The visit lasted all of 8 mins, and from that, I got everything I needed, which was my daughter will never be one of her patients.

I couldn't see Dr. Nam for about 6 weeks because she is booked up. However, she was able to do a televisit right away. She listened to my concerns, asked good questions, and provided answers. I was very pleased. She helped me right away. Dr. Nam will be my allergy doctor from now on.
