Great about explaining and very supportive
My first visit with Dr. Waseem and I was very appreciative of his careful explanations and his thorough approach. He made me feel comfortable and informed on the process that would be followed to determine potential diagnosis and care.

Friendly but apathetic
I’ve been going to Dr. Waseem since November of 2022. While he is very friendly, he doesn’t seem to take my concerns too seriously or seem willing to be proactive regarding my care. Most recently, I found out my liver levels are exceedingly high. Since I’ve been here, and have been seeing him every six months, he’s not ordered bloodwork until this last visit when I put my foot down. His response was that he usually relies on the PCP to do that. I realize I only had a lumpectomy and it was caught early, but given the history of cancer in my family, I’m anxious about it. When I stated that I’d read tamoxifen can damage the liver, and while it’s rare, I’d wondered if that’s what was going on, he dismissed that suggestion. Anything that indicates a problem should be explored. He wasn’t interested in following up and said the liver can regenerate itself.

Exceptional doctor but the wait is terrible
It took an hour to get to the back and I waited an additional 20 minutes…other than that his bedside manner was wonderful. He’s extremely knowledgeable and is an excellent listener. However the front office needs to really get things together. The waiting area was over crowded and just makes me feel nervous especially with all of the covid restrictions.

Excellent. I'm a young 84 year old, who was referred to Oncology by my GP because my iron level was below standard in my recent physical. I am astounded at how Dr Waseem pulled all the remedies together including my short notice iron IVs, causing a needed colonoscopy and today my capsule endoscopy, multiple professionals taking phenomenal care of me. Dr Waseem through all this has been clear in his communications with me, most pleasant and EFFECTIVE. My iron levels are back. Dr W continues to guide my care. Thanks.

We had a terrible experience with Dr. Waseem. He admitted having zero experience with a radiation treatment my wife had yet he failed to ever contact the doctor who did the procedure. Refused to listen to the patient, patient’s spouse and other doctors. Sent patient to sit in ER for hours due to his misdiagnosis. Dropped into patient’s room unannounced and proceeded to provide bad news without her caregiver/spouse present. Unless you have a cancer that has a “by the book” treatment plan with a high degree of success, get someone else.
