Be wary!
Dr Shetty was not sympathetic to the pain I have been experiencing. She prescribed a medication through the pharmacy that she is employed by. Due to internal billing issues between the pharmacy and the mfg., I was unable to get my prescription for 5 weeks. She refused to prescribe another medication that would have been much easier to access from my local pharmacy. She insisted that I get an eye exam before she would prescribe. 3 eye doctors told me that the exam she required was not necessary and the exam I did need was a benchmark exam that would have been ok to have done within 6 months after taking this med. She did not seem to be knowledgeable of the generic name of the drug either. After switching to another doctor, I am truly seeing how incompetent she is!

Doesn’t listen to the patient
Incredibly dismissive and rude. Doesn’t listen to your answers - she basically wants a straight yes or no to her questions that the computer prompts and nothing else. In fact she will cut you off to stop you from talking or wave you off. How on Earth a rheumatologist can do their job without listening to a full patient history is beyond me. She also dismisses anything that doesn’t fit her narrative by calling it normal (even things other doctors have said are not) or saying it doesn’t count? Save your time and pick a different doctor that will look away from the computer screen and actually listen.

You couldn't pay me to return to her. She repeatedly interrupted me, declined to listen to anything I wanted to share; she only wanted me to respond to her questions, which were narrow in scope. I told her I wanted to explore every possibility to avoid misdiagnosis - she ordered zero tests. I told her about all the bad experiences I've had on brain-chemical-modifying medications; putting me on another drug was all she was interested in. She was unempathetic, dismissive, and disinterested in my pain and suffering.

Horrible beside manner. No time to answer questions.BLOOD WORK IS POSTIVE Ana highly double. Brushed me off. Meanwhile family members have no markers DX RA? I have 3rd stage kidney damage and told it’s normal? Not a Dr that likes to explain how a test shows one thing but ignores serious readings. Needs to find another occupation because a Dr she can’t and don’t make the mold as a caring one. My family were Doctors and I never felt so insulted at her manners. I JAVE SOME MEDICAL TRAINING AS IN TEADING TEST DUE TO DOING PERSONAL INJURY! She ranks bottom.

Very dismissive when provided evidence that correlate with ANA antibodies. This Dr would not listen to symptoms or to bloodwork SHE ORDERED and when it was abnormal she insisted it was normal. I left with no dx. I have Osteoporosis, Ostopenia, bones of a 100+ Things she deals with. However an ANA DOUBLED KIDNEY FUNCTION BELOW NORMAL SEEMED FINE. My markers came back with indicating something wrong while a family member had no markers she dx with RA. Never read her own xrays she ordered. Little did she know I am educated by a Rhymatologist and was taught how to read Bloodwork, MRI CAT CTSCANS, etc. As I headed all breast implant litigation in Fla. IWhen you question about your results being abnormal range and this Doctor states it normal, then a family member without any abnormal results but given a dx if RA, when mine shows 3Akidney diseases among POSITIVE ANA, I say be your advocate and would not recommend any Doctor who refuses to accept her own bloodwork and her refusal to explain

Dr. Shetty is behind her times in diagnosising and treating Lyme disease. She has a cold bedside manner and no time for your questions. If you're looking for compassion, this isn't the rheumatologist for you.

I was a patient of Dr Shetty but I will never go back. At my last visit I had questions concerning treatment that she wanted me to have and after about 10 minutes with her she told me she couldn't answer anymore of my questions because she had other patients waiting. Terrible way to treat your patients. I am now looking for a new rheumatologist.

I would give Dr. Shetty five stars, as she has an excellent way about her, but her front desk is awful. There is a woman who is nasty to the patients and she makes going to the doctor visits unpleasant and stressful. There is only one elevator in the building and it is frequently out of service. This is not acceptable for a Rheumatologist who serves an elderly population.
