Dr. Nafisa Bhoori, MD

My 94 year old mother and I have been under Dr. Nafisa Bhoori's care for about 20 years. In spite of a language barrier given that my mother does not speak English, she always ‘lights up’ when she discovers that ‘her doctor’ is working on the day of our visit to the IMA Urgent Clinic where she works. Dr. Bhoori has always been exceptionally, friendly, professional, and above all, so gentle with my mother. It wouldn’t surprise me if her excellent bedside manners alone initiate treatment of whatever medical issues that brought her in via a ‘placebo-type effect’. Be that as it may, what is most important to me is Dr. Bhoori’s unquestionable professional competence. Her diagnoses and treatments for us have always been right on target. And isn’t that what is ultimately most important in a medical professional?

I would highly recommend this physician. Dr. Bhoori is not only competent and professional, but patient and kind. My daughter and I have both seen her at IMA on several occasions and I have never failed to be impressed. Too bad she isn't available to be a primary care physician.
