Dr. Torres has been a caring and compassionate doctor. She not only wanted me to beat breast cancer but she wanted me to have the best possible quality of life as well. She treats the cancer and the entire person. The radiation treatments were both exhausting and painful which is a part of the battle to beat breast cancer. I had appointments on Saturdays during the holidays since the radiation clinic was closed on holidays that fell on week days. She preferred that I make up the appointments on Saturdays versus having two treatments in one day. It was up to me to make that decision. I think her bedside manner was fine. She was highly recommended by two other doctors at Emory. They both said that they would want her as their radiation oncologist if they ever had breast cancer.

Dr Torres has a very melancholy disposition. Very glass half empty. She leds with negative news and often times steps out of her lane and discusses matters that should be discussed by your other doctors-ie. Your Surgical Oncologist, Your Medical Oncologist thus leaving critical info relating to your standard of care going through radiation. I had a huge open wound, not one time did she offer to show me how to dress it, how to heal but she was adamant about prescribing pain meds and chemo drugs

First of all, the appointment was one long wait after another. Actual time seen was not even 15 mins. After having a lumpectomy she strongly insisted on a mastectomy as soon as possible without even looking at anything. I find her disposition and bed side manner to be unsoothing and unpleasant at the same time. Quite money hungry is all she appeared to be. I will not return. For the 32 treatments.

She insisted radiation treatments for 6 wks 5 days week 1 of my treats fell on a Holiday and she insisted I receive 2 treatments on the same day. She insisted I continue my radiation even as my skin broke down & bleeding with open wounds. Beware ! She will use you as her Ginnea Pig. Upon consultation with another Radiation Oncologist...I was told what she did was "Barbaric" , that there was Not 1 single study that proves continuing to Radiate broken Skin would be effective. I live in pain
