Wonderful Doctor. Had reviewed all of my (extensive) records before our appointment. Didn't even touch the computer - just listened. Felt great with the plan we made. Easily available for followup too. Highly recommended!

I traveled an hour each way for him to give me 5 minutes of his time. Did not listen to me or provide advice as to what I can do about my insomnia. I left, then decided - hey, I came all this way, I'm going to need more than that. I went back upstairs and he refused to see me despite the waiting room being empty. I said I'll wait. He finally came out - though he stayed behind glass. I begged for suggestions, which he refused to give. I got angry. Instead of acknowledging that anger is a legitima

He's the best! I have had sleep issues my entire life, had multiple sleep studies, and Dr. Mahmood spent time with me analyzing them to discover the root of the problem. He's the only MD who discovered my low ferritin, which is finally resolved. I have made my husband pay to keep me on his Kaiser insurance (I have my own through the hospital I work at) just so I could stay with Dr. Mahmood. The best!

He only knows about CPAP titration issues, nothing about slow wave sleep. Yet he pretends that he knows everything and is unwilling to explain anything at all about his summary diagnoses even after I underwent two overnight sleep tests. Most arrogant, close-minded doctor I have ever encountered by far. Other Kaiser doctors have been very helpful, not him. He doesn't even communicate via email, and doesn't listen to patients at all.

Knowledgeable and friendly, never glanced at the computer screen during the entire appointment (he read, and remembered the notes before entering the room.) As a fifteen year+ Kaiser patient Dr. Mahmood provided some of the best care I've received. He's the kind of caring, committed physician I would gladly and highly recommend to others. Outstanding care.
