Our Nightmare at PAM Health with Dr. Motaz Hossein
My father was under Dr. Motaz Hossein’s care at PAM Health. Over several days, we noticed signs of bleeding from his wound, along with worsening nausea and discomfort. When Dr. Hossein evaluated him, he quickly looked at the wound, stated it wasn’t concerning, and said the symptoms were to be expected. We felt our concerns were not taken seriously. Out of growing worry, we arranged for my father to be transferred. After arriving at a hospital, it was confirmed he had a herniated section of bowel. This experience left us deeply unsettled, and I hope more attention is given to patient concerns moving forward.

Uncaring and apathetic
This doctor did not believe our patient had a seizure, even though it was witnessed. He did not listen to the patient at all, did not seem in a hurry to address the patient's extreme pain, did not put orders in on time, and did not perform an exam. His 'exam' was putting the stethoscope on her belly for a second and saying 'sounds good' and then leaving. The patient was 7 days post severe cardiac arrest. This is unacceptable.

Rude, disrespectful, unprofessional, non-caring
Would not listen or answer questions. Refused to consider Pulmonologist consult and ignored obvious CT results for further necessary care of lungs. Rolled eyes to ceiling during conversation. Will never see this horrific doctor again.

Ignores the patient's progress, zero compassion
A family member became unexpectedly ill and was hospitalized in critical condition following complications from the illness. Despite improvements and return of cognition and function Dr. Hossein stood beside my family member's bed and pushed to "consider if [they] would want to live like this" WHILE MY FAMILY MEMBER WAS LISTENING! When Dr. Hossein was called out on the inappropriateness of the conversation in front of the patient, Dr. Hossein denied any cognitive ability or comprehension of what was being said, which is exactly the opposite of the progress my family member has made as shown by the ability to respond to commands and perform tasks and answer questions, and evident by their reactions to Dr. Hossein's push to consider ending care.
