I have had port insert surgery with her. That was my 2nd times of experience along with cancer came back to me unfortunately. That's why I can comparison with previous experience and complained to her after surgery about discomforted than my 1st. time of same surgery which other Dr. did it. Unfortunately, when I met her back at Emory midtown, Her attitude was horrible and awful manner. I do not know she is good doctor or not ! BUT SHE DOES NOT HAVE GOOD MANNER AND HUMANISM TO PATIENT.

Completely dismissive, rude, and untrustworthy
Dr Rizzo did a surgery for my tumor (which turned oiut to be cancer). After Surgery she just told me the name of the cancer and said come back in 6 months. When I asked common questions about my diagnosis, such as type of cancer, prognosis, game plan, she got angry and wqas very dismissive, She struggles with communication heavily. She has no carfe for her cancer pations and lacks all empathy. I had to change doctors completely. This is a warning in effort to save others - DO NOT SEE HER!

I would recommend Dr. Rizzo very highly to anyone who is looking for a good no-nonsense surgical oncologist. She treated me with respect and she and her team were very engaged and professional. Everyone in the hospital (even other departments) spoke highly of her. I liked that she was very frank and recommended the right options. She took the time to explain all the good and bad from my diagnosis. The surgery was almost flawless and I am very glad I went with Dr. Rizzo at St. Joseph's hospital.
