Overly aggressive pre cancer treatment
Very intelligent and competent doctor. Just too aggressive for me. She uses chemo therapy drugs to remove pre cancer growths. That is a great accomplishment but I prefer the “old school” approach with Q tip coated with liquid nitrogen, which may not be as effective. I am almost 80 years old and am fine without experiencing blisters caused by caustic topical drugs.

Dismissive, Rude, Poor Time Management
40 minutes after my scheduled appointment time with Dr Dahlem, I called from *inside* the patient room and politely asked how much longer it would be. Two different staff asked: “Do you have somewhere you need to be?” I know I’m not the typical ladies-who-lunch demographic they get, so a dermatologist appointment was not top of my social calendar that day, but this lack of accountability is pretty rude. 5 minutes later, I heard the doctor and the assistant whisper-talking on the other side of the door, followed by Dr Dahlem abruptly coming in, no apology, but with huge a chip on her shoulder at me because I’d done something as outrageous as ask when I’d been seen when they were running 45 minutes behind schedule. The appointment just went downhill from there. She didn’t listen to me, she continually cut me off and talked over me, and she made me feel like I was burden on her watch. And then I was billed hundred of dollars for nothing. Just the worst experience.

Very smart, excellent doc
I have been seeing Dr D for many years and she has done about a million biopsies on me and has kept me skin-cancer free for more than 20 years. She’s a thoroughly knowledgeable compassionate person.

I have been a patient of Dr. Dahlem for many years. She has helped me through rosacea, acne and aging skin issues. I have found her to be consistently caring, kind and most importantly she is super intelligent. She's an excellent doctor who keeps up with the latest in dermatology medicine and techniques. She has seen and solved skin issues for both my mother and my daughter. I can depend on Dr. Dahlem to help me through whatever skin problems I have. She is terrific and so is Maria, her nurse!
