Dr. Monica Agar, MD

I saw Dr Agar for abnormal bleeding. Initially unable to take an in office biopsy, she sent me for a vaginal ultrasound. Her office contacted me with the results 2 business days after I had already read them on my chart. I waited an additional 3 business days just for her office to schedule a second biopsy appointment. I waited an additional 3 business days after that for my appointment. I have now waited 8 days for the results of the biopsy. On day 7, I called the office to inquire about test results. It's been 24 hours and no response. In the interim, I have seen a Penn Dr who specializes in fibroids, the condition to which Dr Agar attributed my bleeding. The Penn Dr thoroughly read the ultrasound and said that the type and location of the fibroids does not cause bleeding. She offered several alternative possibilities and treatments. If you are faced with anything more complex than a pap smear go to Penn. Or, at least, find an office that returns your call.

I was a new patient and was very happy I chose Dr. Agar. She was very pleasant, attentive and thorough with her examination. I was seen in a timely fashion and office was clean. She addressed my main concern and referred me to another Specialist for that issue. I will definitely recommend her.
