Disappointing. I had lumpectomies & needed radiation. Wanted place closer to home than where i had surgery. Scheduled meeting with Dr. Karim. Was told several times to bring my MRI's to my appt. Wait time at appt was ridiculous. When I finally did meet Dr. Karim, she was very polite but didn't seem to want to treat me maybe since I didn't have my surgery there. She didn't even look at my MRI's! I asked about Prone Radiation (laying on stomach) for BC & she told me I was NOT a candidate for it (even though I have large breasts & it is intended for large breasts) & that I MUST do Deep Inspiration Breath Hold & each of my treatments would be 45 min long & that I should find somewhere closer to home instead of MoTown. I left & went back to where I had surgery- HUMC- & had PRONE RADIATION (keeping my heart and lungs out of harms way of the radiation) & each appointment was 17 minutes long-start to end. I guess MoTown and their doctors aren't as advanced as they say or think they are.
