I was very lucky to have had Dr. Teng as my PCP during graduate school. She was the first doctor I've ever had who actually listened to my concerns during each appointment. She's also extremely efficient and knowledgeable. If you're the type of person (like me) who likes to do some "due diligence" beforehand and come in and discuss/plan out a course of treatment, she's the person to pick. It was because of my positive experience with her that I understood for the first time how important having a supportive medical team was. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I've had many doctors at UC Davis, and found Dr. Teng to truly be one of the best. I found her very supportive of my unique issues from the LGBTQ community.

I don't normally write bad reviews, but I felt as though this was too important of an issue not to inform possible future patients. Dr. Mollie Teng is the most unprofessional health care provider I have ever encountered. Her patient communication skills are severely impaired as she carries herself with a condescending and honestly rude attitude. I saw this behavior and language used with other medical staff as well. Overall, to avoid this woman at all costs would be by best advice. Initially I thought this may be a chance incident of misconduct but upon researching other patient experiences online, I realized this is a common feeling after leaving her office. Further evidence of this can be seen on the HealthGrade website. Hopefully this will be addressed and she can improve her care as a licensed doctor in the future.

Dr. Teng is one of the best doctors I've ever had in my 32 years of life. I am grateful I managed to get her my first year of graduate school, and was thankful for a caring, warm, and thoughtful doctor for three years. I understand that a couple other people found her condescending, I found her efficient, curious, and patient. She is also brilliant? Not sure if people can't handle women with "to the point" tones but have never found her condescending once. Also I found her very LGBT friendly and fat positive. Truly I wish I didn't have to leave student health care as I wish I could see her as a doctor for years to come.

Dr Mollie Teng has been my PCP for over 3 years and I feel blessed to have had a NP recommend her to me when she did. My previous PCP on campus was superficial, far from compassionate and patronizing when I was clear with my needs that were validated by my lab results. Mollie always approached me with reassuring confidence along with other possibilities for me to consider, just in case my choices are not effective or beneficial. One thing I have learned about maintaining a successful relationship with medical professionals is that it is up to the patient to know their needs better than anyone else and that they are there to guide you through the process. Again, Mollie is successful in this process and always returned messages in a kind and timely manner, especially when the issue was urgent.

The above review perfectly captures my experience with Dr. Teng as well. She was condescending, would interrupt and speak over me, gave a strong impression that my thoughts were invalid, and gave me a feeling of being interrogated rather than cared for. I had avoided a visit to the doctor for a year with this worst-case scenario in mind, despite a history of blood clotting and recent feelings of numbness. She perfectly embodies the opposite of what you'd hope to receive in a medical care setting

Dr. Teng is likely a very knowledgeable medical professional, however it patient communication skills are lacking and towards me they were offensive. I myself am a medical professional in a different field and informed Dr. Teng of this. She was condescending towards me during the appointment and continued this offensive attitude in her follow-up communication.
