Dr. Mohammed Hamzeh, MD

I’ve had wonderful experiences with many many many of the ER providers and other providers and specialists at this specific hospital. However, being under Dr. Hamzeh’s care was a horrific experience. He spent maybe a few minutes with me total (not unusual, but relevant here) and at one point LAUGHED in my face when I was describing my symptoms. A nurse that was in the room at the time apologized quietly after he left, and offered to bring in a patient care advocate. I have a chronic illness and was experiencing some very concerning symptoms, had called my specialist after hours and was referred by him to go be seen in the ER. Dr Hamzeh was rushed, dismissive, and frankly, cruel. He did what has become all-too-common and assumed my (young adult, female) symptoms were caused by anxiety, and I suppose wrote me off immediately bc of this. He ordered a benzo dose, and when that didn’t solve the issue, acted lost. I like to give doctors the benefit of the doubt. He did not deserve it.
