Dr. Esmadi saved my life
Spot on diagnosis with a hospital visit a year ago. My liver has cirrhosis and Dr Esmadi has been my specialist since my diagnosis a year ago. I have been cured from the virus that caused damage and continue to see him every 6 moths. Explains things well. Soft spoken and professional each time I see him

Refused Treatment, condescending and dismissive
Dr. Esmadi provided a consult for my mother in the IMCU. She was on her 3rd trip for diarrhea, vomiting, and dangerously low blood pressure. He seemed irritated that he had been called for a consult. He began asking the same questions his PA had just asked 5 minutes before and I asked if he had reviewed her chart. He said yes, and told her she had a virus and he was sending her home to follow up with a gastroenterologist for colonoscopy. I told him that was not an option, as her BP was so low the day before, we almost lost her. I requested the colonoscopy be scheduled in patient. He said I was 'asking for every test known to man'. I said no, just a colonoscopy. he said I was being unreasonable and to find a new provider and walked out. He was extremely condescending and dismissive. An administrator had to get involved. His PA took over and determined a colonoscopy and Endoscopy were warranted and scheduled.
