Worst doctor ever
Saw him at Beaumont hospital , my mom was admitted there. This is a worst doctor I've ever seen. He has no manners or respect for the patients or others but bad attitude. He acts like a big boss wearing a dress suite. He walked in whenmom was drinking tea. He grabbed her cup forcefully without saying anytging and put that away. He started hitting my mom's trasplanted knee with his reflex hammer gave her lots of pain. I had to stop him. I felt like telling him, 'get the....out of here'. I recommend to avoid this guy. I won't cosider him a doctor as he appeared, behaved and acted.

Neurologist
I was referred to Dr Alkahim by a neurosurgeon who felt my bilateral foot numbness and pain were NOT related to spinal stenosis, but instead a neurological problem. Dr Alkahim was kind, methodical, caring, and reassuring. He ran varied tests to find the cause of all my symptoms. Jessica O, the PA always calls you back and never makes you feel that you’re bothering her. I found the office was very efficient and also helpful. Chrystal is a real asset to the practice. A big thank you to Dr Alkahim??

I would recommend Dr. Al-Hakim
I disagree with most of the other reviews. I found the doctor to be thorough. He is very serious, but didn't find him to be difficult. He came out to the waiting room to greet me and call me back.

My mother was referred to Dr Al-Hakim through Beaumont. We showed up early for her appointment at 1:15pm. There were no other names ahead of her when she signed in. After about 40 minutes, I went to ask how much longer. The lady behind the desk said "Just a little longer" then, very quietly, she said "He was having trouble with his phone" then made a motion like she was texting. This was odd. After another 10 to 15 minutes, I went to ask again. I had to wait for her to get off the phone (remember this). She said "Just a few more minutes". At 2:40, 1 HOUR AND 5 MINUTES past her appointment time, my mother said she was done. She went to the desk and told them we were leaving. The lady apologized and said that their phones had been down all day. Now, 1) What do phones being down have to do with seeing you patients? AND 2) remember what I said about having to wait for her to get off the phone? She was obviously lying. If his phone is more important than his patients....

I met Dr. M.M.Al-Hakim while I was admitted to an emergency room at Beaumont-Troy hospital. I had some symptoms of mini-stroke including terrible headache, confusion and others. Besides that, I had discomfort feeling in my chest. All doctors and nurses who helped me were very good and provided great care, professionalism and bedside manners EXCEPT Dr.M.M.Al-Hakim. He spent with me approx. 3-5 minutes, made few pokes with needles, looked at my eyes and said “I will be back”. That is it. I have not seen him that day nor next day till my release from emergency room. Prior to my release I DEMANDED to see him since I had some simple questions that I did not have a chance to ask before. Dr. M.M.Al-Hakim came to my room but I felt that I bothered him. I asked couple questions and he provided short answers. I cannot assess his medical expertise but his bedside manners surely did not impress me. If I have the need to see neurologist in the future I will insist seeing another Dr.

Office staff is the worst. Twice I had made an appointment and called to confirm. Both times they actually did not get it on the calendar at all. Crystal who scheduled me is as smart as a door knob with her attitude. Met Dr. El-Hakim in the hospital. Had the follow up 2 days later and could not remember me or asking me to follow up with him. Terrible service in the worst way.

First impressions are the last impressions. Let's start like everyone, calling to schedule an appointment. The receptionist was snotty that I couldn't pronounce the Dr's correctly, my bad sorry I was in an auto accident. Second she says we don't take auto claims,my insurance, cash or credit card and the most horrible attitude I have ever witnessed in my life. I wouldn't go to this place if it was the last on Earth. The Dr. can thank his crappy lady at the front desk for this review. Horrible Lady
