The Dr. is good but not the podiatry practice
I found Dr. Waskin to be professional and very thorough. His medical assistant and front desk staff were all good as well. The podiatry practice is poorly run. I had three visits and had to wait at least 45 minutes each time. I was unable to get any response to questions via voicemail or email. I won't be returning for treatment at this practice. It appears that since it was recently purchased by a New York City venture capital company (NMS Capital) the focus is on profit and not the patient experience.

I am very happy with Dr. Waskin's treatment of my painful right heel at the Foot & Ankle Center. They took an x-ray, diagnosed the problem, explained options, and treated me in the same visit! I walked out of that one visit feeling better. By the time I drove home, I was able to walk without any pain. Oh yeah, they also showed me stretching exercises I can do at home to prevent the same problem from occurring. Super happy with Dr. Waskin. Highly recommend him.

I was recommended to Dr Waskin by my husband whom he had treated for plantar fasciitis. He warned about the long wait times and the lack of apology for them and what seemed like unnecessary Xrays of the foot. I too had to arrive early, my appointment was over one hour late and I had the unnecessary X-ray. He really didn’t listen to me and seemed more interested in getting me to buy orthotic shoes from his organization. The practice is very crowded and it seemed that we patients were processed as quickly as possible. Given my husband’s experience, I could not have been more disappointed.

AWFUL. Waited over an hour for my appt. No personality, esp no sense of humor. Non apologetic to my time wasted. Very argumentative and if you don't take his advice you are ignored. Said he was the director of the practice in his "infomercial" but he isn't. Just a bully.

Saw one of Dr. Waskin's reviews mentioned price gouging and I had a similar experience that i would like to share with future patients. I went in to look at a sore growth that has developed on bottom of arch of both feet. I explained the problem to nurse and answered all other generic questions asked at beginning of appointment before Dr. comes in. She then told me an X-ray was standard procedure for all patients with foot pain to make sure it wasn't a broken bone. She walked me down to x-ray machine and i asked her if she thought i had a broken bone? Clearly I didn't since swelling has developed on both feet and I knew exactly when it started on both feet. Nurse told me she didn't think there was any broken bones, but she was just following procedures. I declined the x-ray since I knew broken bones were not a possibility -- sounded like price gouging to me.

I recently had a problem with Dr. Waskin being very late for an 8am appointment that I was required to be there 30 minutes early for. I just want to know how late can Dr. Waskin be to an 8am appointment before he thinks it is not okay to inconvenience the patients. Can he come in at 9am and feel it is okay? Can he come in at 9:30am and feel it is okay? I can't get answer from office, him or his corporate legal person that was supposed to call me a week ago. I was told by the Office Manager that The Foot and Ankle Center compliance officer would call me, but she hasn't. I have left a couple additional messages but she still hasn't called. I assume there must be lots of compliance issues with the practice or there is simply no concern for the patients.

I recently had an appointment with Dr. Waskin and was extremely pleased. The entire staff was caring and very helpful. Dr. Waskin spent all the time I needed to ask any questions and understand what might possibly be wrong with my foot. I would highly recommend him to any of my friends.

I would recommend Dr Waskin to friends and family. I went to him for arthritis in both my feet, the pain was so bad it hurt to walk, he examined my feet and said he thought insoles would help them feel better so he sent me over to Sara, have not tried the inserts yet. Everyone in the office is so nice, the lady that checked me out heard me say I was hard of hearing and when I checked out she made sure she spoke so I could hear. I really do appreciate that.

Dr. Waskin was pleasant and patiently addressed my problem and my questions. I was afraid he was going to suggest surgery as the first course of action, but he had other more conservative suggestions to try first. (Cream, arch supports, etc.) I liked his staff also.

Very nice doctor and staff. Almost a year ago I had 4 laser sessions for painful nail fungus, which cost $800. I precisely followed all at-home instructions; no change in fungus (only 1 toe, on 1/5 of nail). Apparently laser has 70% success and I was unlucky, but to see the dr. for a follow up costs $200 more. For the amount paid for laser treatments, a 5 min. follow-up appt. (involving no treatment) to discuss further options should absolutely be included. Feels like price gauging otherwise.
