Kaplan failed me
Had to get an EGD by Kaplan to confirm celiac disease. He did not biopsy the small intestine, which confirms celiac disease and was the whole point of the EGD. How in the world does a medical doctor literally fail the main objective of a procedure? I'm being asked to pay $1700 for a useless EGD and I have to get another one. Certainly from another better doctor. I highly recommend any other gastro doctor.

This is one of the most disrespectful doctors and nursesI have ever dealt with. I was suppose to get a TIPS procedure done to do away from paracentesis. After many phone calls still no schedule was completed. The nursing staff don't return phone calls or will tell you they tried. My solution was to find a new Doctor that will honor there word. Please don't waste your time.

Amazing Doctor and Person
Dr. Kaplan is an amazing doctor. He explains what is going on and why. With underlying health issues he makes sure I understand how it’s all working together. He takes his time and listens. He reassures when needed and just an overall wonderful physician and person. I can not say enough good things.

Will never go to this provider again. If you like being talked to like you are an infant. He would be perfect for you. He likes to stand while you sit, a power move, and becomes insulted if you ask for him to sit down and explain as if he is talking to an equal. But it's his constantly being late for an appointments which is not the worst thing he does, but enough for me. I'm not talking about 10 or 15 minutes. I'm talking upward of an hour and a half, then being told he will be another 45 minutes. I have clients too. A half hour would never work with any of them. I am expected to be a professional.

Dr Kaplan has done colonoscopies on my family for years. He came highly recommended from the nurses at two well known hospitals here in Louisville. We all thought he was very thorough, forthcoming and caring.

Horrible. He and his staff are very slow and non-responsive. I was referred to him for intestinal issues, but once he saw on my intake sheet that I have occasional heartburn, that's all he wanted to talk to me about. He scheduled a colonoscopy, but added a throat scope because he was all about the heartburn. It took me over a month, and 5 separate phone calls to his office to finally get the results of my colonoscopy. Then he gave me heartburn meds that "might even constipate you". Awful.

Not only does this doctor make you wait unsatisfactory amounts of time in his office before seeing him. But he does not communicate what his intentions are on how your treatment will be coded to your insurance company. They refused to code my procedure correctly to have insurance pay for it. And then they put it in the hands of a collector who has damaged my credit. They have been paid by my insurance, but did not inform the bill collector 6 months later. These are VERY BAD PEOPLE!

Waited 1.5 hours for consultation. Talked to Dr. for less than minutes. Scheduled colonoscopy. Had to be at hospital 0930. Not taken back for procedure until 1330. Got EOB from insurance. Dr. coded the procedure as a diagnostic colonoscopy. I was surprised as this was NOT DISCUSSED during the consultation. Tried to discuss with office coder and office manager. Both were dismissive and rude. Now have $2000 Bill sinc charges went against my deductible. Will never use this physician again.
