Dr. Mitchell Dobberpuhl, MD

I usually don’t write bad reviews. But… Dobberpuhl is a very weird doctor. I had a very awkward appointment with him from the beginning to the end. His nurse was very nice and informative though, but Dobberpuhl didn’t look interested and I didn’t feel heard. He only checked my ears and didn’t explain anything. I left being frustrated with more questions than answers. I wrote him a message with my questions , hoping that he might have been helpful communicating through text messages, but he didn’t respond to 90% of my questions. I would not even call him a doctor…I asked my another doctor a referral to another otolaryngologist. Dobberpuhl definitely needs to improve his social skills or change the job…

Save your money and stay away from this poor excuse of a doctor. I paid a lot for advice i could have googled and my symptoms being dismissed. Gave me attitude the whole visit. I hope your degree isnt money driven, you lack compassion.

It's 3 o'clock in the morning. I have been up since 2:50 AM. because I'm so angry with my visits? With this doctor, I'm a critically ill patient. I have a lot of health issues from my lung to my brain to my ears to my nose. he treated me like a kid. he spoke down to me. He ridiculed me the whole visit. He mocked me and it's unfortunate that I have the medicare advantage snp plan and kind of limited on who I could see. I went in there with fresh blood that I had spit up like fifteen minutes prior to me meeting the doctor. The Visit was very awkward. He was rude he didn't explain anything to me.I had to learn in my chart What he saw when he stuck his thing up my nose. The camera. I guess overall he's rude and disrespectful. I will be seen another doctor I will not go back to see him

Dobberpuhl had to have been the worse doctor I've ever taken my daughter to. He sat and looked at us like we were aliens. My daughter had an abscess behind her tonsil and went to ER. He was to follow up with her. He didn't discuss the CT scan, nor solutions nor explanations for this condition. He looked in her mouth and said it looked fine. He told me that if it comes back to take her to the emergency room again because their office is often booked. The appointment lasted less than 5 minutes. Literally a week later, I ended up in Urgent Care with my daughter. I wish I would have read his reviews before wasting my time and money taking her to see this alleged doctor. He was very dismissive, disinterested and I felt disrespected the way he handled this visit. I will never go back to him.

A lot of the things that the review from September 2023 resonate with me. I paid a lot of money to hear from Dr. Dobberpuhl that I probably could have Googled. I do not recommend Dr. D.

I'm still upset, confused, and honestly completely baffled at the appointment I had with this Doctor. I went in for an ongoing sinus infection and Dr. Dobberpuhl completely dismissed my concerns. I left my appointment in tears. He essentially told me he didn't see anything wrong with me although I had a sinus infection and was in pain/discomfort for WEEKS! He very socially awkward and didn't seem to know how to interact with me despite me asking him questions and probing for some type of solution. I left the appointment feeling extremely discouraged and uncomfortable. There was no level of compassion, warmth, or desire to help me. I am never the type of person to leave reviews anywhere but please save yourself the hassle and see a different provider.

Mitchell Dobberpuhl I will not call him Doctor because quite honestly I question his credentials. Dobberpuhl lacks all knowledge and basic human interaction skills to be called a doctor. He walked in sat down and stared at his computer and asked what was going on. I explained and he couldn’t have looked more disinterested. He didn’t offer any solution or advice except to drink water. I had to talk and ask questions and with each one his response was a shrug of his shoulders as in saying he has no idea. He concluded his part by saying, I quote “I’m not calling you a lier but…” and then shrugged his shoulders. My response was there has got to be something causing my abrupt hearing loss and then he laundry listed every test an ent can do and said which one do you want. Are you kidding me?!?! I didn’t drive an hour and take off of work and pay to have to see a doctor to be treated so poorly. He continued to stare at me so I stood up and told him that he better not bill me for this since I will now have to find a different doctor to help me. His response was he will be billing me and if I wanted to discuss it further I can book another appointment with him. He is incredibly arrogant. This lack of professionalism and care was absolutely unacceptable. I ultimately had to book an appointment with a different doctor to address my concerns properly. In my opinion, Mitchell Dobberpuhl is a liability to Aurora. I strongly recommend canceling appointments with him or, if you've already seen him, disputing the charges with your insurance and filing a complaint with Aurora. After reading other reviews, it's clear that many others have had similar disappointing experiences with him.
