Dr. Mitchel Katz, MD

Dr Katz moved to FL and forced telemed on his CT patients, without offering referrals or telling his patients. His office staff are slobs, rude, incompetent, and nasty. Dr. Katz never remembers me despite seeing him since 2011. He doesn't offer any help or help work through anything with ADHD, just writes the script.

He calls my script in to the wrong location or for the wrong kind (brand vs generic) many times now. When he messes up he says its another 72 hours wait to fix HIS MISTAKE

The office staff is unprofessional and extremely rude. Dr Katz never wanted to see my son in person and treated us like a number. Prescriptions were always mixed up and trying to straighten anything out with this office is a nightmare. We left and found a new provider.

I have been seeing Dr. Katz for at least 7 years and he still has no clue who I am and never remembers anything about my situation, even when I just spoke to him recently. He is NEVER available and is no longer in CT so he only does telemed appointments and if you need something, even if it's an emergency, his receptionist who rarely actually answers, sends him an email and then you just have to wait for him to call, if he calls at all. He screws up my prescription almost every month and then has a policy of taking up to 72 hours to correct it. Not ideal when you have no meds. To top all of this off, he is completely RUDE and unfriendly. His ratings on other medical sites are unbelievably bad. It's incredible that he still has a license to practice!! STAY AWAY!

Our experience with this Dr was the worst experience I've ever had with a physician. He was extremely condescending and accusatory - rolling his eyes and making numerous rude and uncalled for comments throughout our visit. We discontinued treatment with this Dr and his office immediately following our visit as I do not have faith in his intentions or ability to properly treat my child.

SURPRISE BILLING $800 per hour. Disclosure: I own a small medical practice (birthing) and would normally never write a negative review about another medical practitioner. However, my hope is to help a family of children with autism from wasting their precious money and time. RUN AWAY, don’t walk, RUN. They will tell you that insurance will cover the visit but will not inform you you must get a referral for each televisit. They charged me for 4 visits when we only had 2. They will not negotiate a red cent when you call about the SURPRISE BILL. They laughed at us when we asked for help for an unexpected bill. I repeatedly asked to speak to the doctor to mitigate the cost of the televisit and was told the doctor does not take calls in billing. The front desk is condescending and disrespectful, laughing at my request. $800 for a total of 1 hour over two visits is not something to laugh at. I never thought I would experience such low grade service and disrespect from a fellow dox

I went to my first appointment, referred to him by my Primary Dr. just before leaving to go my son has a panic attack, I stayed with him until he was calm then went to the appointment. I got there 16 minutes late. Sorry, you’re over the 15 minute rule for lateness have to reschedule. You’d think a mental health professional would understand, nope. Must be about billable hours. I wouldn’t send a cat to this place.

I went to see this doctor after my primary care phys. recommended me to him. I remember walking in there feeling like I was in the wrong place, and the staff was not welcoming at all. This experience was just over all very off-putting especially when he "needed" a picture of me to document my health or for some strange/concerning reason that I overlooked at the time. When he started interviewing me, he asked me extremely biased questions all structured so my answers would have to support why he

Over prescribed meds to an adult- sent husband into a psychotic issues. Just pushed more and more stimulants despite clearly worsening mental health issues on his patient.

My experience has been nothing but excellent. Dr. Katz helped identify and treat a condition (ADHD) that has been hindering me my entire life. He has worked with me by giving me coping tools/methodes to work with my condition and has worked closely with me to ensure that I am on the proper medication and dosage for my condition. Since working with Dr. Katz my quality of life personally and professionally has improve drastically.

Would not recommend, was asking advice for son, he just kept telling me that he was not sure why I was there. Never looked at papers that I brought from the school and charged me $154.00. To tell me nothing. He is a bogus Doctor, do not waste you time and $.
