Dr. Mirza Mahek, MD

I was in the hospital for 3 day drug load after the first day it was clear that it was not going to work. At 11 o’clock the second day my cardiologists said I was good to go home, Dr. Mirza came in and tried to talk me into a sleep study, I declined she was not my doctor and I had no real knowledge of what her purpose was. She then made some rude comments about my weight and my physical appearance, I didn’t know who she was so I didn’t think much of it. At 4:00 my nurse said I’d be leaving in ten minutes , at 4:15 the nurse came back in and said dr. Mirza wanted me to stay another night and I wouldn’t be discharged. I can only assume that she was 1. Upset that I refused the sleep study and 2. It was some kind of pissing match between her and cardiology. I love my cardiologist but am hesitant to do an ablation I have scheduled at a hospital where this unkind unprofessional doctor

She is annoyed if you ask any questions. Told me my thinking was at fault. Told me I was confused. She couldn't have been more wrong. Only met this woman for five minutes. She acted like she had studied me for years. I have a life threatening situation and certainly did not appreciate this very rude Doctor.

When I discribed a discomfort she smiled. When she touched and are and I flinched, she smiled. I even brought it to her attention and reminded her it wasn't funny. She continued to smile and had nothing. I found that puzzling. She was not committed to her answers and gave multiples for questions, several times. I saw her in a hospital as a hospitalist, even tho she did not introduce herself as such. My family and I needed to see the concern for me on her face and in her manner and saw neither.
