Dr. Miriam Levine, MD

Miriam Levine removed intravenous antibiotics for a deep bone infection mid-course without notification or informed consent. About a week later she called the patient's Guardian to lecture about antibiotic resistance, insisted the patient will die from the infection and proceeded with end-of-life counseling despite the family refusing to consider Expediting death.

No stars is more appropriate. I would never recommend this "doctor". She may have some textbook knowledge; but does not have the experience, insight or interest to look for options to improve someone's outcome. She decided without consent whether or not my husband should live or die by withholding proper medication. She removed an antibiotic to handle an infection that a different doctor prescribed. Only after demanding a different doctor did she unwillingly put him back on an antibiotic. The delay may have been the cause of his imminent death. In my opinion, she does not deserve to practice medicine.
