Dr. Mimi Kang, MD

I’ve been treated by Dr. Kang for many years now, including surgical procedures. She’s always been very warm, thoroughly explained everything, and took time to answer all my questions. I feel very lucky to have her as my gynecologist.

Went for a problem visit and a lab was ran. I never heard anything regarding the result of lab or that medication was needed except when I received a bill. Called about it and they supposedly sent a prescription without any knowledge to myself and I never was called with my results. Luckily my issue wasn’t anything life threatening or life altering but the lack of follow up is not acceptable. Dr is also very cold to patient.

I was 17 at the time of my first appointment and had never really talked about sex with adults before, so I was naturally hesitant to answer when she asked me how many sexual partners I had been with. When I answered, she proceeded to ask me, “Why so many?” Obviously extremely unprofessional and blatantly rude coming from a doctor. It wasn’t even a high number. She then kept trying to convince me to tell my mom that I was sexually active and even had her phone in hand ready to tell the receptionist to bring her in the room even though I kept saying no. Before I left, she told me I needed to reconsider my actions and make better choices if I was so nervous to tell her about my body count. I’ve never felt so disrespected or uncomfortable in my life, especially as a minor speaking to a doctor about very personal circumstances. She made me feel horrible about myself. Would never recommend to anyone.

I switched to this practice after a horrible experience with the birth of my first child. I found them to be knowledgeable, caring, professional, and friendly and have remained their patient for almost 18 years. However, the lack of professionalism from their office staff and the appt line's inability to return calls for appointments and lack of caring over an issue "we are booked just go to urgent care" has me looking for a new GYN.

Dr. Kang is a wonderful doctor & person. She is very pleasant & concerned about a patients well-being & will address any issue you have. You never feel rushed or comfortable during a visit. I highly recommend Dr. Kang.

At first, I really liked her. But over time, I found her slow to return calls or answer emails. And, she wasn’t up-to-date with some of the latest CDC recommendations. I felt like she lacked compassion where I was concerned.
