Highly intelligent, wonderful bedside manor, very thorough, and mostly...kind hearted

Dr. Pleitez has been my myasthenia gravis specialist for over 10 years (since she was at Methodist), and she has kept me both alive and encouraged throughout the difficult management of this disease. I had all but given up (because every doctor before had given up on me), but she has brought me from the wheelchair and monthly plasmapheresis (which I had both for years!) to just one treatment which is considerably successful in management of MG. She's the miracle worker of my medical story and I am extremely grateful to have her on my team. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND her, especially if you are struggling with myasthenia Gravis and losing hope. She's a genuine, caring person and a very experienced doctor who doesn't give up fighting for her patients.

I have been a patient of Dr. Milvia Pleitez for more than 15 years. It started at Methodist and continued at Baylor after she changed jobs. She is an exceptional doctor who cares and listens. She is knowledgeable and she loves her job.

I am one of Dr. Pleitez's older patient. I have Myasthenia Gravis and Migraine Headaches, without the Doctor's help and treatments she recommended for me I would not be here. I was able to enjoy my life with my babies, and see them grow up ,graduate from school also attend college. She is one of the best Neurologist I ever had. No other doctors I've seen don't knows what to do with my condition. And her bedside manner is impeccable. She really care about her patients. Whenever I had an appointment, I didn't mind waiting. Because when it my turn she takes her time, wanting to understand what my body is doing. I think, Dr. Pleitez tailors her visit to each and everyone of her patients. Even if they have the same diagnosis their body does not react the same. I appreciate having such a caring, loving attitude the Doctor display. I Really, Thank you. You deserve more than five stars.

This woman prescribed a migrane medicine to me that is banned for heart diseases. I had an infarction 4 years ago and was rushed to the hospital with a new one!. My wife and I submitted a complaint to the medical board of Texas and patient liason!

Dr. Pleitez is not ontime, doesn't believe in follow up and honestly, never gave an answer to my questions. Thumbs down!

The Dr. & Staff was very direct about having the muscle biopsy. The told me it would be very painful & it was! Thank God it is over! I do appreciate direct information that I was given about prep & the biopsy itself. They were both very helpful during the biopsy & kept talking to me the entire time. They also gave me very good info about what to expect after the biopsy. I just have had what is left of my sutures out with my local Dr. I think Dr. Pleitez & her staff were kind & very helpful.

Difficult to get along with as your physician.

Short tempered. She is hesitant to share your test results. Wondering if Methodist is aware of her behavior!! Its all about the money :))

Not friendly amd does not respect patient's time. Does not explain the condition as well.

Regretfully she smirked when I asked about the prognosis of my condition and hushed me when I repeat myself. I am not sure how she is allowed to see patients!

Excellent bedside manner, very clear when going over health problems, explaining tests needed and test results as well as treatment options. Very personable doctor and takes her time with you for questions and explanations. I would recommend her immediately to anyone needing a good doctor and neurologist.

Very difficult to get an appointment for procedures when the Dr. tells you she wants you to come in. Office staff does not call to schedule the procedures when the Doctor tells you they will call you.
