Dr. Miles Birmingham, DO

Dr Birmingham looked at history, asked appropriate questions and gave us alternatives when my mom had an area that was not safe to inject. He explained options and was very good at explaining every step of the procedure to us.

Our son was injured in football and was originally misdiagnosed by a Sports Medicine doctor. We researched A LOT of Pediatric Surgeons and Orthopedic Surgeons and found that it's difficult to find a surgeon who will do hip replacements on a 14 yr old. We were blessed to find Dr. Birmingham. From the first consultation we knew he was the surgeon we were going to trust with my son's care. He listens, is confident as a surgeon (NOT cocky... there IS a difference) and although he typically does not treat teenagers he was comfortable taking my son's case. A weight was lifted from our shoulders after that first consultation and a short time later the surgery was complete. My son is doing GREAT! He can walk where before he had a major limp and difference in length from his good leg. We love Dr. Birmingham! He is an amazing person and surgeon! If you need a hip or knee replacement you do not need to look any further!

He listens to your concerns, explains things in a way that are easy to understand. He truly cares about his patients and wants the very best for them. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Birmingham was very helpful, he listened to my issues and genuinely cares about his patients. He gave me options other then surgery to think about with his unique approach. His explanations were very clear and I am thankful he is my doctor. His staff is very friendly and helpful also. Mary, in particular helped me with a unresolved issue and I had a great outcome.

Went to see him because I thought I was going to need a hip replacement. He came in after reviewing my X-rays and they me that wasn’t the problem, and was so relieved! He explained what was going on and called me in some medicine. Very nice and friendly!

I began seeing Dr. Birmingham because I was having post surgical issues after a total knee replacement. (surgery done by another doctor). He listened to me, asked questions and was sympathetic with my problem. Some tests were done and results explained. He explains things well and is patient with my questions. It’s too early to say what the results will be, but I’m very positive I’ll have a good outcome. I wish I had known about Dr. Birmingham earlier… I would have gone to him for the surgery.

Now six weeks post-surgery, I am delighted by the choice and the results. I already have full-range of motion and am on a way to a complete recovery. Dr. Birmingham was my surgeon after a spiral fracture of my femur in August of 2021. It’s rare to find a doctor who truly cares about their patients outcome and doesn’t just make you feel like a number. He explains in layman’s terms and is with you for every step of your recovery. I went to see Dr. Birmingham after suffering with a problem for nearly 2 years. I had heard nothing but great things about him so was very optimistic that he could help me. However, when he suggested that I take steroids I was somewhat reluctant because of some side effects I had experienced in the past but he convinced me that they should really help so I agreed. I could not believe how much better I was already feeling just after the first 24 hours. I would highly recommend Dr. Birmingham. Just make sure you do what he recommends!

My initial visit with Dr. Miles Burmingham was a pleasant experience despite the pain I was having. After his interrogation, discussion, and diagnosis, I knew I trusted him to do my surgery. The plans were made and I will see him again next month. His mannerism and competence were favorable and I am anticipating a positive outcome. Dr. B was my surgeon for total hip replacement on both of my hips. I came to him in so much pain I could hardly walk. I’m 12 weeks post surgery on my second hip and I feel great! I have no pain and I’m finally doing all of the activities I enjoyed before my hips started hurting. He has given me my life back. Dr. B has a wonderful “bedside manner” and always took time to answer all questions and explain what the surgeries and recovery would entail. He’s an extremely gifted surgeon as well as being a kind, patient and compassionate man. I highly recommend Dr. B to anyone having joint issues.
