Caring, compassionate and detailed orientef
Yes, the waits are long to see Dr Mendez but I wouldn’t have any other PCP. I have been her patient for almost 20 years, she was the doc who diagnosed me with RA years ago. She was the doc that when I needed a fast appt for a cardiologist got me in in 24 hours to a great one. She listens, she’s smart and she jumps through hoops to help you.

Won't return to her office
I thought I had an appointment with Dr Mendez but I saw the PA in 2021. They messed up my insurance billing so badly that I’m having to pay for my 2022 wellness visit out of pocket when I went to a different doctor.

When I was younger Dr.Mendez was my doctor. I thought she was wonderful at the time. I am diabetic and had lost weight- but started to gain weight again because of stress/life/etc. I went in to see Dr.Mendez because my blood sugars were high in the morning even after fasting all night and I was having stomach issues. Without running ANY tests or looking into any other diagnosis she told me that I had Gastroparesis, a very serious condition. When she was leaving the room she said" I guess you'll get your blood sugars under control now, won't you". It was the most horrendous conversation I have ever had with a physician. I went home devastated, feeling as if I had ruined my life, and embarrassed and in shock by the way she had spoken to/treated me. It was beyond unprofessional and unkind. I later went to an endocrinologist and had further testing only to discover that I had gastroenteritis. I hope that she has become a more caring doctor, so that her patients aren't treated that way.

Dr. Mendez has been my medical provider since 2004. My prior doctor told me not to worry about a spot on my breast. When I went to Dr. Mendez, she insisted on further testing and revealed cancer! So, from day one she has been on target with any of my health issues.

Dr. Mendez and all her staff are amazing and FUN! Whenever I have an appointment there, I can depend on getting my required dose of endorphins. They are all professional and knowledgeable. Dr. Mendez is definitely not one of those doctors whose initials behind her name stand for ‘Minor Deity’. She also doesn’t rush you in and out of her office like an assembly line. They all give you plenty of time so you don’t feel rushed. She is knowledgeable in eastern medicine and has no problem treating you with the modality you prefer. She is very ethical and will do right. I cannot imagine anyone being unhappy with this practice in any way unless they’re just not happy.

I switched to Dr. Mendez for my Primary care and was completely impressed with her knowledge of my health issues. She spent a lot of time with me and didn't treat me like a file number. She listened and addressed my concerns with detail. I highly recommend her and the staff was wonderful too!

i have been going to Dr Mendez for about 17 and she has been spot on, with all of my treatments and care. I don't mind the wait times, as she and her staff give me all the time and attention I need on my visits. She is the best as far as I am concerned.

My husband was misdiagnosed from this provider and against his wishes I thought I would give them another chance. Then it happened to me .....but what bothers me the most is that I called several times to have the PA Cathy to call me back for my issue proceeded to get worse. I ended up going to the ER the next day and had to pay way out of pocket. I called the front desk and they assured me that I will get a phone call back. Nothing for one week. The office manager finally called me back at 4:58 on Friday just to check it off his list for his weekend to start. He could of cared less. I am a business owner and the way I was treated is Unexceptionable . Listen to your patients and show compassion. Find a caregiver who cares about their patients.

Have been to Dr. Mendez's office several times in approximately 4 years. Thought I would likely meet her on my initial visit but didn't. It was not until after several visits that I finally asked to meet her. On my first visit I was introduced to a Nurse Practitioner named Comacho. She is my "doctor" for all intents. Dr. Mendez was asked by Nurse Practioner to diagnose a sore on my back that contained a MRSA infection. Dr. Mendez successfully removed the infected cyst. That was the 2nd time I met her. Some time later I asked the NP Camacho if it was policy that Dr. Mendez does not make an effort to meet her patients. Dr. Mendez overheard me and said that to be seen by her was like being sent to see the principal. I found that reply unacceptable. My wife is also a patient of Dr. Mendez but has never been introduced to her nor has Dr. M ever sought to meet her. Neither my wife nor myself are impressed with Dr. Mendez and may soon to be on the lookout for a new Primary Physician.

Dr. Mendez has reorganized her support staff and has the office running like a well oiled machine. Her time with you is very productive and she covers ALL questions you ask in detail. Her staff is organized and very professional. I highly recommend this Dr. and her practice to anyone that wants a knowledgeable, compassionate Care Giver. I've been a patient for 10 years and wouldn't consider going anywhere else.

She has been my and my daughter's physician for about 5 years. Yes, the wait times can be frustrating but then she will spend an hour with you if necessary. I love that so many procedures including blood draws can be done right there.

I’ve been a patient of hers for six years, and I consider her a Godsend. Her breadth of knowledge for medical conditions and their causes lends toward her treating the actual condition, not just the symptoms. She’s very thorough. She also has excellent Physicians Assistants on staff. Sometimes the wait is long, but that is because of her attention to detail on her patients’ cases. She has always been worth the wait!

I was lied to about lab results and was overall unimpressed with her knowledge or willingness to help me. She kept wanting to sell her fancy tests that I'm sure she gets paid for rather than looking at the whole picture of my health.

10 years ago we thought that Dr. Mendez was the most amazing doctor and when we left her office we always felt better. Now, she has taken to standing in the doorway and shouting her orders to you and her nurse does all the running back and forth. I still think she is a brilliant doctor but now involved in too much Botox and other sidelines and you get no personal attention at all. It has been sad to watch all this but we had no choice but to change doctors.
