Lazy
After years of chronic back pain, the doctor ran no tests nor offered anything but acetaminophen to her 75YO patient for years. Doc simply dismissed it as old age & possible arthritis. Finally, after being pressed to figure out what may be causing the pain, we found that she had had several undiagnosed UTIs and PMR. When labs results come back, doc never calls. Only aft patient requests that the doc look at them & review with her. Even after the PMR diagnosis, she offered no relief beyond a dose of steroids. When patient was concerned about taking large doses of steroids, only after she asked about a long term treatment plan, the doc referred her to a rheumatologist. She only tries to find solutions after much pressure. patient who is diabetic told the doc that she was told her feet should be examined. The doc did it that visit and never again. That was 2 to 3years ago!

As as a doctor myself and a devout Catholic, I know doctors. Dr. Spina is the best internist in the eastern United States. Knowledgeable, caring and patient are just a few words that can be used to describe her. On Sundays, I kneel and praise both the our Lord and Dr. Spina for keeping my aging parents alive and well.

I’ve been to so many doc at Abington and none have approached the skill and professionalism of Dr. Spina. As a neurosurgeon, I have worked with many of the internists in the area and Dr. Spina is the best.

Dr. Gorbos-Spina is very kind, takes the time to listen, to discuss any problems, follows up. I have gone to her for 3 years and am always impressed by her compassionate care. She is a very good part of the practice.

Didn’t believe I had anything wrong and commented that there wasn’t any way someone my age could have had the major issues with surgery and basically called me liar also I was misdiagnosed multiple times.
