Dr. Michele Lemay, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Lemay for 4 years now since relocating to Bradenton. I think she is great and I can talk to her easily about anything.

I have been going to Dr. Lemay for over 15 years and she is always welcoming and makes me feel comfortable. The office staff are just as kind and I have never had to wait very long at all. I recommend Dr. Lemay and her practice whenever someone is looking for an OB Gyn

I'm disappointed with the care I received during my last visit. 1. Dr. Lemay made an inappropriate comment about not knowing what was going on ‘down there,’ seemingly based on assumptions about my personal choice to wait until marriage. 2. When I brought up the issue that prompted my visit, it was dismissed due to that same assumption. 3. She initially stated that we would decide whether to proceed with the Pap smear when the time came, but she proceeded without further discussion. I expected a more respectful and considerate approach to my concerns.

I am really disappointed by my last two visits with Dr Michele Lemay. The first visit which was in 2023, for my annual smear test that I booked for, but after paying and seeing her, she told me I didn't need to have one as it was done every two years. So she just did a pelvic and breast check. Second visit after waiting for nearly two months in 2024 for an emergency visit, explaining that I was experiencing bleeding during sex with my husband and I was concern it might be polyps that returned, hoping to be properly checked that this was not the case. I felt as if I was robbed of health check, money $565 and time to be tested for STD, were she came in to room took a swab and told me it looks like it Vaginal Bacterial and wrote a prescription for antibiotics. Then left the room with my husband and I thinking if that was it. It left us thinking like what kind of service is this. Now getting tested for things i did not went in for and getting results all Negatives and thinking it was a g

I’ve been a patient of Dr LeMays for more than 10yrs & very happy w her. However, since she moved to the new office I’ve had nothing but frustration trying to schedule, make changes to existing appts. or add a treatment/new service. When I have needed assistance w scheduling no one is available to take my call & that’s after repeated attempts. After waiting on hold for some time a voice states “ We are busy can’t take your call pls leave a message message” & I do, in fact today I left 3 over the course of a few hrs & still no response. Called back & their closed for lunch, so I wait for lunch to end & call back & left another message. I had to call the emergency line, which they were not happy about, but I had no choice as the issue, which by then, was one that had to be dealt win the next hr. Reluctantly, my question was answered & in less than 60 sec. I know the work force is tight right now, but really……..

The office staff and nurse were all very friendly. Dr. Lemay provides an open, matter-of-fact, comfortable atmosphere for any conversation and is reassuring. Total time there: 1/2 hour. Even with a late afternoon appt I was taken in on time.

I have been a patient of the practice for 12+ years. This year, I have left 7 messages over the past 2.5 weeks just trying to get an appointment and get a response. I even tried leaving a note through website. So sad, these doctors are great if you can actually get in to see them.

Totally professional. Caring, kind and so knowledgeable. In and out quickly too.

It is incredibly frustrating that every time I try to call this doctor I can't get someone to answer the phone I'm talking waiting on hold for an hour or 2 not being able to leave a message and no one answering. I have decided I have no choice but to find another.

I had an unbelievably great experience today with Dr. LeMay. She listened to me & took time to really hear what my issues were. She gave me a very needed assessment & then mapped out a plan. She was personable, knowledgeable and proactive. And her nurse and office staff were so kind and helpful. Her nurse was so compassionate & caring. I have nothing negative to say. This was an absolutely positive experience & I would recommend Dr. LeMay highly.
