Dr. Michele Dodman, DO

All the reviews that gave her a 1 star rating pretty much explains the attitude of this Doctor. She is very cold, very abrupt, and no sympathy whatsoever. Her words 'I don't have good news for you' ....no further explanations after a few brief words, then told 'if you have any more questions, you can call the office.. That's a joke - called 4 times in one day left messages an no return call!Should have read Reviews on her first....would have cancelled appointment and gone elsewhere

Dr. Michele Dodman was shockingly unprofessional and completely lacking in empathy when treating my mother. Her attitude was dismissive, cold, and frankly unacceptable for someone in the medical field. A doctor should prioritize patient care and respect, but she showed neither.

I was so excited to get in to see a GI specialist so quickly, and now I see why this doctor has no wait. I first spoke with the resident, who had an aggressive and dismissive tone and actually shrugged when I told her I didn’t feel like I was receiving quality care. Then Dr. Dodman came in. She was more interested in talking about Smokey the Bear than listening to the GI symptoms I have been experiencing for years! She didn’t even look at the ultrasound I had done two days prior.After about three minutes, she told me it was just my anxiety and that she couldn’t help me. She said, “I can look inside you if you really want, but I guarantee it won’t show anything.” I told her I did want her to do the test, and she went on about how it wouldn’t show anything. I left with absolutely nothing.I hope you read this, Dr. Dodman, and reflect on how you treat your patients and how you are training your residents.

After experiencing some abdominal discomfort I sought out a gastroenterologist. On my first visit she was dismissive, rude, disrespectful and overall horrible! I have never had such a terrible experience.

Was rude and uncaring. She did my endoscopy, but I never bothered with a follow up and instead found a Dr at another clinic that's way more caring and personable.

Very dismissive. Didn’t take any time to see if what I was saying was valid or not. Told me my only option was a colonoscopy. Definitely wouldn’t go back if it were my only option left in Tucson.

Abrupt and dismissive. Not happy that I didn't know what type of polyps I had in the past, no blood work lately, no stool testing done, I don't drink enough water, I don't eat enough fiber and I shouldn't drink artificial sweetners. That's what I learned in my 10 minute appt. If I didn't need a colonoscopy I would go somewhere else. If I want to feel like I'm worthless, I'll go see her again.

10 minute procedure sticking a camera down my stomach. BCBS FEP. $956. No follow up or anything of value. Waste of time and a $1000 dollars. See someone else at a different group. Trust me these people are useless shysters.

I told Dr about the terrible unbearable pains in my upper stomach recently. She did not care. Said it didn’t matter now as blood work ok. I was concerned about my polyps coming back. Dr Krazinski removed these 1 yr ago, quite large. Said I did not need another endoscopy now. “ drink 1000cc of water every day”. Her mission statement is the opposite of what she practices. And furthermore I would not allow her to do any test on me with such a non caring attitude . It was a scene out of twilight Zone.

Communicated well, great bedside manner, a ton of experience and a U.S. veteran as well.

Abrupt no beside manner overall just a worthless 5 minute visit that meant nothing and then she had the gall to bill me. Stay away!!

Horrible bedside manner.

Dr. Dodman treated me in the hospital while I was very ill and likely helped save my life. I have received excellent follow-up care since I left the hospital. I have complete confidence in her.

As soon as Dr. Dodman came into the room she asked, "Why are you here, you are wasting my time?" I explained I had recently moved to the area and my primary referred me to her to establish a relationship with a new gastroenterologist. She then told me with out my records, it was a waste of time to meet with her. I told her my records had all been sent 2 weeks prior by my previous gastroenterologist's office to my primary doctor's office who is also in her network. She told me that was not useful and it was my responsibility to get hard copies of the last 13 years and bring them in my self! What are computers for? Is this office operating in the 80's? She then belittled me and told me how long the colon was. She did not address any of my questions about current medications and said I should get another stool test. I will NOT be seeing her again and I highly recommend you research before you visit her. I have NEVER been talked to in such a demeaning way by any doctor before.

I can relate to all of the negative comments already posted. Her front office staff is rude. She's dismissive and demeaning. Her practice is so bad other GI doctors and RNs have admitted to me that she has a horrible reputation in the medical community.

I needed to have a follow-up colonoscopy that I had been putting off. I found her and am delighted that I did. She explained everything clearly and I felt confident that I had made the right choice. Oro Valley Hospital was a great experience as well. The prep nurses, the anesthesiologist as well as Dr. Dodman were excellentl!.. Don't procrastinate..get your colonoscopy.!

I’ve had good gastroenterologists. Dr Dodman is NOT one of them. She was demeaning and unhelpful. I left her office feeling like this not someone that cares.

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND HER TO ANYONE

Highly disappointed, her assistant said she was great! Not so far. I've had a tough enough time with physicians in the area, one shushing me in his office as I tried to explain my personal preference. To having another attempt to intimidate me by saying a procedure was required by law. She looked at me as if I were lying! I have no reason to lie! Not once was I told when I scheduled the appointment or when they called to confirm that she would NOT receive treatment without first providing my medical records. I scheduled the appointment 8 weeks before I was seen!

Dr. Dodman is by far the best gastro doc I have seen in my 82 years of life. Very capable, extremely competent, understands the work and explains everything thoroughly without rushing. Her procedure with colonoscopy is the best I have encountered,
