Dr. Michael Zornitzer, MD

I have been with Dr Zornitzer for over 20 years. He is so compassionate and concerned with his patients well being. He has changed my life due to his expertise with medication. He literally saved my life!!!! The best Dr I have ever went to by far!! Get to live my life joyously because of him!!! Can’t praise him enough because he is such an outstanding professional.I saw him for years and now do telehealth with him for maintenance visits with no complaints!!!

What stood out for me was Dr. Zornitzer's expertise in both therapy & medication management.His true passion clearly shows, through the time he spends listening & responding in a non-judgemental way. After only a short time of weekly sessions, I've experienced less anxiety & depression, & my family & friends have noticed as well, including my internist.! I look forward to my 45 minutes, trusting him with my inner most emotions. Anyone seeking therapy, should look no further than Dr. Zornitzer. His expertise is only outweighed by his professionalism, making himself available every week without ever being late. My only regret is not calling his office sooner. Dr. Zornitzer asks pertinent questions about not just the subject matter I'm sharing with him, but equally as important, he inquiries as to how the medication he's prescribed is working for me. His knowledge of medicine is only superceded by his extraordinary communication skills, listening being at the top of the list.

He came up with some good ideas, was an excellent listener, knows about medicines a patient is on and does not just mess around with a medicine cocktail that’s working, asks solid questions and was a pleasure.

I have seen many doctors in my lifetime and Dr. Zornitzer has been one of the best I have seen in all aspects related to mental health. He not only listens to what you have to say, but gives honest and transparent feedback. He is easy to talk to and I always feel great after our sessions. I would recommend Dr. Zornitzer to anyone who is looking to further improve their mental health. 5 stars!

I remember 16 years ago being in disability (Medicare) as my insurance. I had made a regular 45 minute appointment. He comes to me yelling “did I allow you to make an appointment with your insurance “ totally arrogant and disrespectful I imagine if he was any good and amazing as these “patients” say the God of psychiatry would have cured the treatment resistant depression. Well I got off of disability and Medicare. I am with the same doctor who isn’t in it for the $

Dr. Zornitzer is by far the best psychiatrist that I have ever received care from. He is knowledgable, compassionate, and always listens to your needs. Appointments are never rushed and he spends the time with you to figure out the best plan of action. After years of being misdiagnosed, Dr. Zornitzer correctly diagnosed me and put me on the right medication. He helped me out of a very dark time and with his help, I have improved nearly all aspects of my life in just a couple of months. Even my friends and family members have noticed a positive difference in my mental health. I highly recommend that you make an appt with Dr. Zornitzer if you want to improve your mental health.

After being a caregiver for many years for my father who had dementia I was dealing with anxiety issues that were interfering with me moving on with my life. Dr.Zornitzer is the best doctor I have ever met. He is compassionate, caring, empathetic and extremely knowledgeable, just to name a few. Every single aspect of my life has improved since I’ve seen Dr.Zornitzer. It is very obvious after your first visit that he cares about both your physical and mental health. Although he does not take insurance at the moment, I believe seeing this doctor is a priceless investment that will benefit not only yourself, but the people surrounding you also.

Dr. Zornitzer is by far the best and most compassionate psychiatrist I’ve came across. He is extremely compassionate and understanding, I am always listened too and my concerns are always met. Living with a highly complex autoimmune disease is extremely taxing on my mental health, my treatment under him makes day to day life manageable and productive despite flares. He is always up to date with my rheumatological treatment, tailoring my psych medications to fit in correctly and fulfill their role. His secretary Ivette is the most dedicated doctors assistant I’ve came across to date, beyond compassionate, always responds the same day, and always makes sure all is good on the pharmacy side.

Ivette, the facilitator and office manager of this Doctor’s Office provides a level of care, nurture, and support unlike anything I have ever seen from any doctors office, anywhere; ever! She helped us in so many ways outside of her usually duties, which enabled us to continue our lives as functioning parents. If I could give 10 Stars for her I would! She’s flexible and available almost always, day/night; weekends included. (Not to say anyone should bother the poor woman on her time off.) I would highly recommend this facility for its ability to get your needs satisfied, and solely due to Ivette.

They office never called me back. After to attempts on this site. When they finally contacted me I was told I would be able to make an appointment. When I called I was sent to the answering service. Then they gave me a number to call. I called and spoke to a woman who said the doctor is not seeing new patients! She said to call back in two weeks! They are scumbags!

I have been seeing Dr. Michael Zornitzer for at least 6 yrs., if not more. He is always responsive, he has taken extra time for me & has helped me enormously. He’s an excellent psychiatrist, & the assistant there, Ivette, is absolutely amazing. It’s just a shame that he stopped taking my insurance 2.5 yrs. ago & refuses ANY charge sliding scale, even though I’ve been seeing him for so long&he DID take my insurance for 4 yrs. The cost of self-pay is astronomical. I’ve still been seeing him for these 2.5 more yrs., even @100% self-pay, however, which says a lot. I can’t keep it up for much longer at all, though, & will have to change. The $1000s & $1000s I should have, if he still took my insurance OR ever agreed to do a sliding scale for long-time, loyal patients whose insurance he no longer accepts!! He’s great, though, & I recommend him. Don’t be fooled by the quick, matter-of-fact, unemotional/monotone way he talks - you’ll get to know his nice personality, & HE CARES.

Dr. Zornitzer took me out of a very dark time in my life. From day one, he was professional, caring and above all reassuring. He was able to instill in me a sense of hope. His staff was courteous, efficient (returned calls in a timely fashion as well as complete time sensitive forms immediately) and communication overall was easy and effective.

Dr. Zornitzer is a very caring and compassionate therapist offering insight in a vary safe setting.

I'm in treatment with Dr. Zornitzer for an anxiety disorder and depression. He is caring, knowledgeable and really listens. He returns calls the same day and accommodates your schedule. His office staff is professionally, pleasant and her follow up is the best I've ever experienced. I highly recommend Dr. Zornitzer. I'm happy to say after a few months of treatment - I'm feeling much better.

In the six years I have been Dr. Zornitzer’s patient I have received superb care. In addition, he and his staff are respectful and courteous. The office submits my insurance claims and followed up relentlessly when my insurance company kept making the same mistake processing my claims.

Excellent! I have been with Dr. Zornitzer since 1995.... 29 yrs. total! He correctly diagnosed me, put me on the correct Meds. and gave me outstanding behavior therapy. He is very instrumental in my success in life... both personal and career wise. I’ve been followed up by Dr. Zornitzer every 3 months for the last 9 yrs. of the 29 yrs. total (I saw him more frequently prior to this.) I have been symptom free of my OCD for many years now. It is always a pleasure to visit him. I highly recommend him as outstanding without reservations.

On my initial visit with Dr. Zornitzer I was in the middle of an anxiety attack. With Dr. Zornotzer's manner and compassion I knew I had found the person who could help me feel "normal" again. He is caring, knowledgeable and non-judgmental. All qualities that a patient needs to feel reassured that life will get better. I highly recommend this wonderful professional.
