Skiing without glasses under my goggles
After a terrible experience (cataract) with another Reno opthalmologist, I waited three years before I had the courage to get my right eye fixed. Finally I went to Doctor Westafer. He got me a surgery appointment promptly and did the job flawlessly. I give him my unqualified recommendation for cataract surgery. From initial visit to final follow-up.......... excellent.

Handles Difficult Problems
My dry eyes coupled with RCE is a difficult problem in the sense that it's not ordinary and flare-ups can be painful. Dr. Westafer's knowledgeable & trustworthy to handle my difficult problem when the need arises and fit me in when I needed to be seen. He with his optometrist Ansari on site, I have the best care possible for my difficult problem. Thank you.

Followup exams
Excellent interaction with DR Westafer. He asked good questions , not overly technical. He took his time without making me feel rushed. He was interested in what other medications I was taking so as not to interfere with meds he was prescribing. He was easy to talk to.
