Dr. Michael West, MD

Sent by ambulance from Nashville Tennessee area hospital because of lodged gallstone, unavailability of local qualified surgeons, and urgent need for surgery. Was extremely pleased with Dr. West treatment and bedside manner.

RUN! He is not the doctor you want to have, and especially not the surgeon you want cutting on you!! I've had MULTIPLE surgeries, that were major, and I've never seen a doctor act like this! If you need a surgery I pray you turn around and go to a different doctor or hospital for your surgical care! My husband was there for a umbilical hernia repair and I will never forget the childish behavior that this self entitled, egotistical, arrogant doctor had! Just know he will not educate you on the surgery he does, he will not provide you with any educational material, or prescribe you other alternative medications such as anti-inflammatories, or nerve medications to help with pain! You will be blind sided with him and have your own words turned and used against you! There is no trust with him!

Having had two office visits and minor surgery with Dr. West I have been very pleased in all contacts with him and office staff. Highly impressed with his bedside manner and has always taken all time needed to talk and explain to me. Have complete trust in him.

He was great with my son Saturday at Putnam County Hospital.

We were very pleased with Dr. West . He took gallstones out of my husband . Very informative took time to explain the procedure and what care to take afterwards. Would highly recommend him. His office was very efficient with making our appointments .

Dr. West was called in to see me while I was hospitalized. He done an ERCP on me, a few days later when I was stable he removed my gallbladder, then a week later removed my stent. I honestly feel like the man saved my life. He's so kind and caring with his patients and explained everything to me. If I ever have to have surgery on anything he specializes in I'll be requesting him to do my surgery.

After having spending a night in the ER and another night in severe pain, the ER brought in Dr. West. He ordered some special tests and figured out that my gall bladder was not functioning correctly and even though he had other plans, he stayed late and took my gall bladder out because of the severe pain I was in. He is the type of surgeon that a person wants, compassionate and caring. I'd recommend him to anyone.

I came in through the ER. My experience with Dr. West has been great this far. He has only been in my room while I was being treated for Crohn's disease with an obstruction. His bedside manner is very polite and kind, plus very informative to my medical needs. If or when I need surgery, Dr. West will be my go to surgeon. Also impressed with his non-cut procedures logic. Glad to have him on board to keeping myself and others healthy with a less invasive options over surgery.
