He is very personable and easy to understand

He listens to his patients, he has clearly looked at your file prior to coming in to meet his patient, he does a thorough job of examining and only then does he express his thoughts. In short this is how all doctors should be.

Came in with ear infection, found out I have a hole in my eardrum. “So you went swimming with a hole in your eardrum?” No, I went swimming, got sick, and learned I have a hole in my eardrum.Gave me treatment and a prescription and that was it. Overall good experience, sans the accusatory bedside manner.

He spent 5 minutes with my son, then left the room because we told him my son was going out of state for work. He seemed bothered with our visit and was rude. Found out the office charged my insurance for a hearing test that he never received. Hope that was a mistake but doubt it.

I always see him when I’m in the worst condition and he manages to confidently diagnose me and puts me on the mend.

He is a very caring doctor. He took time to listen to me and did what test that was needed! He fixed the problem!

If your looking for a doctor; Dr. Underbrink is the person I recommend. Confident and knows his practice! The staff at this location on Gessner, goes out of their way to help. They genuinely care. I had a serious life threatening condition and Dr. Underbrink and his staff were their every step of the way. They made it easy setting appointments with the hospitals and many other things! When I had questions and concerns they answered all my questions. Thank you for all you guys do!

Dr. Underbrink and staff are very efficient. I was in an out of the office very quickly. He listened to my concerns and made sure that I was getting the best treatment.

Dr Underbrink has helped me with my rare throat condition since I moved to Houston in 2021. He is knowledgeable and skilled at airway diagnosis and treatment. His staff are friendly and open to suggestions when the patient knows their body better than the provider.

Dr. Underbrink and staff were welcoming, efficient, explained everything as the treatment progressed. Able to make a quick appointment when symptoms returned and made sure it was not a returning problem. I highly reccomend Dr. Underbrink staff!

Staff and Dr.Underbrink were great,thorough and explained each step in the evaluation process.

Came in for constant sore throat from Acid Reflux, first 3 months spent trying to do voice exercises, thinking my voice box was strained, I didn't think that was the problem. Finally after I asked to have the PH probe test he gave it to me, I definitely had acid reflux coming up. They read the test then never called me. On my first visit I told him the PPI's caused the burning to begin with. I had to finally call for results. The speech therapist went and asked the Dr. what the test said and called me back. She said - the Dr says you definitely have acid reflux and called you in a prescription of Omeprazole - the very medicine that caused it. I have moved on from this Doctor.
