Attentive visit
Dr. Theriault was polite, thorough, and listened to my symptoms patiently. I came away feeling that I had been heard.

Disappointing
Unempathetic and dismissive of my medical concerns. In retrospect, I was seeing many specialists trying to treat various symptoms of my current diagnosis - fibromyalgia. I was visiting Dr Theriault due to chronic migraines, TBI history, and generally feeling unwell. Appointment was transactional and disappointing. At one point he was insinuating that I was making up my migraine issues because my “my chart” notes from another doctor didn’t mention them… A different doctor who didn’t ask follow up questions or suggest further testing when I brought up many other problems I was having. He was not willing and even got testy when I asked him for help requesting work accommodations. He refuses that but was ready to throw whatever medication my way. And by the end, he rudely let me know that if I wanted to fill out temporary disability papers he’d sign off on them. Which isn’t what I was asking for. This appointment makes me want to cry when I think about it.

I have been a healthcare provider for over 25 years. Having a well-trained staff that is sensitive and compassionate is an essential part of any successful practice. In my first visit to Dr. Theriault, I encountered just the opposite. I waited three months for this appointment. On a rainy morning trying to find my way to this office, I was completely lost. Asking several people for help only added more trips down dead end halls. I called the office and related the details of my odyssey. I was told that I had passed the 10-15 minute grace period and would have to reschedule. Discouraged but hopeful, I arrived at the office and respectfully asked to be seen. The answer was the same. The appointment I was offered was another three months away. Front office workers set a tone and reflect the culture of an office. I cannot recommend this practice to anyone. If the treatment by them was this uncaring and inflexible, I have serious questions about quality of the actual medical care.
