I was referred to Dr. Tees by my local oncologist for CAR-T cell therapy. Dr. Tees was quite thorough in reviewing my medical condition and informative in explaining the immunotherapy treatment process at my initial visit. It made me feel very comfortable moving forward. Dr. Tees always answered my questions with empathy and quickly established a trusting relationship. During the treatment process, Dr. Tees, all of my medical team and particularly the nursing staff were incredibly professional and kind. I was provided the best treatment and received excellent care. A big thank you to Dr. Tees, CBCI and Presbyterian St. Luke’s for your excellence in care.

Gave me confidence immediately.
When one has a serious medical issue, knowing the condition is approached seriously and with attention to palliation or cure is important.Dr Tees’ training, experience, and manner ensured that I would not feel abandoned. The treatment, the fabulous nursing staff, and Dr. Tees’ following my case were an exemplary course of the best of medical practice. Thanks Doctor!

Disappointed
My mom has Hodgkins Lymphoma , she went into an appointment with Dr. Tees while I was on the phone to go over her stem cell transplant, I asked a lot of questions regarding her case and what has been going on since October of 2022, not only did he snap at me a few times while I asked questions but he as well didn’t go over what type of chemo drug my mom would be doing over the first week of her stem cell regimen. He didn’t go over if my mom could be around family during the treatment, he didn’t go over if anyone could be around her when she got home. He said that my moms cancer has looked the same since she first started treatment in October of 2022 and that it hasn’t gotten better. I asked what stage he would consider my moms cancer to be in now and and he said that staging wasn’t relevant with the cancer my mom has (?) I just am really dissatisfied with Dr. Tees and the first visit we had with him. We felt like he took my moms case very lightly and not seriously.

2/2...it has certainly been true for me. The worries can be intense, and sometimes they happen when a more objective person watching from the outside can see they aren’t 100% reasonable or at least are being blown out proportion. I’m a survivor of less than a year at this point, since completing treatment. I know my journey could end up going in many ways, and the worries are not going to stop anytime soon (maybe ever?). Even if things do go bad for me, I will know Dr. Tees did everything he could. And having the good fortune to have an oncologist that cares and is willing to address concerns even with a busy schedule is something you should never take for granted.
