They don't care about there patients!
This doctors office does not care about it's patients at all! I will never recommend this office and I would strongly advice not to go here! My daughter has been coming here for over 4 years and is on growth hormone shots that she takes daily. This last month I got a voicemail stating that they had cancelled her appointment because they were having problems with our insurance carrier. After talking to them they said none of there accounts with this insurance were being paid and until they got that figured out she couldn't be seen. I called my insurance and they said that wasn't true. They said they show payments going out every month to the doctor for different patients. They also said our account was paid within a month of receiving the claims. (yes, I have a call reference number.) Obviously, this was an excuse of some kind and a poor one at that. I feel they have abandoned her and don't care at all! I'm just glad she isn't on a life or death medication.

Personalized service. He really cares, I think bc he has T1D also. Even though there are different ladies assigned to different things, they've been good! His office will do things for me after hours in a pinch, have been helpful, and gone above and beyond. Just ask for advice, tell them what you need, and they've been great! Great for tips on blood sugar and good with kids.

Wonderful dr. Makes helpful suggestions, but listens to me if I try them and they don't seem to work with my son. We have loved having him as a doctor but our insurance has changed and we can't see him anymore.

He is the best! He listens to your concerns and his priority is you. I have enjoyed meeting with him and have learned a lot about my health. He always considers your opinions and thoughts and tries to create a plan that you feel comfortable with. I have had a wonderful experience with Dr. Swinyard

Dr. Swinyard is the BEST!! I absolutely LOVE him and have been seeing him since my type 1 diagnosis over 10 years ago. He is personable, friendly, positive, and encouraging, all while being very professional and educational. He has great bedside manners, listens to your problems and helps create solutions with you. He is also a T1 so you know HE KNOWS EXACLTY HOW YOU FEEL. I was so grateful when I found him and cannot say enough good things about him. I was so sad when I had to go to a different endocrinologist because he is a pediatric doctor and does not specialize in T1D and pregnancies. I would highly recommend him, and actually often do recommend him whenever I meet younger T1 diabetics. Seriously, THE BEST.

We held a teleconference, everything was addressed and explained. Tests were scheduled and accomplished. A direction and plan was made.

Dr. Swinyard was recommended by 2 separate doctors. That kept me holding on through treatment for my son and the diagnosis for my daughter. Ultimately, we couldn't stand dealing with being strung out through his lengthy diagnostic process that never seemed to address the problem we came to see him about. He talked us into hormone treatment for a 6 month old boy; but after 3 appointments working toward treatment for our 12 year old daughter, he just ordered another round of tests and ignored our concerns. We won't finish dealing with him, we just quit and started looking for another doctor. There is no indication that we are anywhere near getting what we need from him.

Dr Swinyard is a good doctor but he likes to think he knows everything without always having the facts right . You can’t disagree with him without being berated. He is hard to work with if you need anything outside your appointment and booking an appointments is rough. His staff isn’t easy to work with. I dread calling his office.

Poor Dr. Won’t listen. Prideful. Wont let you get a second opinion before dropping you. Many other negative reviews as well. My pediatricians office has gotten several negative reports about the doctor as well because they referred him.

Dr. Swinyard is extremely thorough. He carefully answers questions regarding management of my son's type 1 diabetes. He gives our family reassurance that we can handle this disease. I'm grateful for his compassion and commitment.

I have taken my daughter to see Dr. Swinyard over a dozen times, he or his PA have made me wait 45+ minutes every single appointment. Morning, right after lunch, late afternoon...it does not matter, you will wait as he has no consideration for your time. His staff is also incredibly rude!

My daughter was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism at birth and we have moved a few times, so I have been to 3 other Endocrinologist over the years. He would not read her blood work and prescribe her medication until I took her in for a hand x-ray and thyroid ultrasound. These both ended up being very expensive. None of the other Endocrinologists even suggested doing this, just blood work. I think it is ridiculous that I felt forced into the other tests so that I could get her medication.

Dr Swinyard ran a lengthy series of tests on my daughter-blood work, urine, bone x-ray, pelvic ultrasound, 5 hour growth hormone test and a brain MRI. They were invasive and expensive. She was diagnosed as having growth hormone deficiency. After all of these tests he told us insurance doesn't pay-which he would have known from day one. She has since been diagnosed by another Dr. with Turner Syndrome and hypothyroidism. She will need lifetime care which he completely missed after all those tests.

I would not be where I am today without Dr. Swinyard. He was the one that was able to find the obscure brain tumor I had. He was the one that guided my family and me all throughout my treatment. He was always so understanding and comforting. During my appointments, he would always talk directly to me (not my parents) and always made sure I understood everything that was happening. He was incredibly patient with my parents as well, who didn't understand english medical terminology very well.

I like Dr. Swinyard, but his staff is the worst I have ever met. It takes at least 10 phone calls to get a refill between my pharmacy and them, the billing staff has billed me instead of my son even when I pointed it out. They did it again while I was on the phone. I am trying to switch Drs, but I can't because the other Dr wants to see medical records. I sent my signed request a month ago and they still haven't sent them over.
