This doctor who spent five minutes with my 83 year old mother decided to tell his receptionist that she did not need to take the eye drops that she was requesting a refill on and has been taking them for over 50 years.You see my mom lost an eye in a car accident in the 1970’s and had gone to Wilmer Eye Institute since then.Her first doctor( who was great)retired and then the next doctor of many years recently passed away.HE WAS FANTASTIC!So this new doctor who took his place spent maybe 5 minutes with us and said all was well.No discussion of the eye drops came up on he first and only visit with him.Eventually when my mom ran out of these drops and needed a doctors authorization his receptionist left my mother a message saying she does not need to take them.He does not even know her well enough and if he would have looked at her records he would have seen she needs this for her fake eye.Needless to say my mother will find another doctor.A caring one who cares about her eye comfort.
