Glaucoma relief...
I find that my visits are relaxed, professional and informative. After fighting Glaucoma for years with other ophthalmologists, people need to understand that this is not a broken finger. I expect to spend a few hours there waiting. Every Ophthalmologists has had a significant waiting period. Dr. Stiles has improved my pressure and my ability to stand light. I highly recommend Dr. Stiles to all with Glaucoma and eye issue. I am glad to travel a three hours to have Dr. Stiles as my physician.

Bungled Cataract Surgery
You have treated my wife for glaucoma the past couple of years and her eye pressure has gone down. You suggested cataract surgery to relieve more pressure and she agreed. It was agreed that one lens would be nearsighted and the other farsighted. She received two near sighted lens. When she asked you about it you said see your optometrist in four months. She went to her optometrist early to learn the truth. The literature tells us this can be devastating to a patient but you kept quiet. My wife was sa number to you She is fitted with a contact lens that she can only wear six hours a day because she's seventy and has dry eyes. The glasses are a disaster. They are worthless blur. My wife is devastated and deeply depressed. She expected communication, integrity, trust, and last but not least, honesty. You failed in all areas.

After seeing Dr Stiles for years I’m left with the impression that Dr Stiles is always rushed and doesn’t take time to explain your eye conditions or educate you about your surgery and the possible risks or what you may expect afterwards. I feel like the surgery goes well but the follow up care that is the most important for success is lacking the attention it deserves for the patient to have the most successful outcome. Dr Stiles doesn’t ask if you have any concerns about your eyes or if you have any questions in general. The front office staff is very friendly.

I was referred to Dr. Stiles by another opthamalogist for a second opinion on eye pressure and when that doctor’s practice was sold I started going to Dr. Stiles. Unfortunately, I have experienced some long waits in the past, and considered going elsewhere. Today I was called at 10:30, my appointment time, and proceeded to X-rays, field test, etc. in a timely manner. The process was very well organized and I hope it stays that way. Dr. Stiles is a first rate doctor.

Dr. Stiles seems like an ok doctor, however I was very displeased with his office and staff. I waited 45 minutes after my appointment time the first visit and 75 minutes the second time. The staff never apologized for the wait. In fact I was treated as if it was expect that I wait hours on them. The waiting room was wall to wall people on all my visits with people waiting to be seen. That is not good customer service and it is rude to keep people waiting with no reason or appology.

be prepared to wait, but he successfully diagnosed and treated an eye condition that other eye doctors could not figure out. I suffered almost a year until someone referred me to him. Ended up having laser surgery in both eyes. Typical doctor, brilliant, not long on people skills, but he cured me so it was well worth it.
