Dr. Michael Starbuck, MD

We've seen Dr. Starbuck for over 5 years, from newborn to kindergarten age with our first, and newborn to toddler stage with our second. We've received great care throughout, whether we were seen for well visits or urgent ill appointments. He has a great, friendly manner with kids of all ages, gets to know the parents, and is very reasonable with treatment plans, offering suggestions but not pushing care that is unnecessary. For example, our youngest has been small on the growth curve since birth, and while we monitored him and took appropriate steps such as referral to a specialist and supplementation to encourage growth during infancy, Dr. Starbuck also reassured us that we didn't need to worry unless he was falling off his own personal growth trendline. He's always quickly treated what needs attention and taken a wait and see approach for things that might resolve on their own. The NPs and PAs here are wonderful as well. We are sad to leave this practice due to a move.

Dr. Michael Starbuck has been our pediatrician for over 7 years, and we couldn't ask for a better doctor. We've been so happy from the day we transferred from another practice and have never once regretted that decision. Dr. Michael's calm demeanor and honest, straightforward answers have helped us navigate many difficult situations. My son had major health problems for a few years, and we built a rapport and relationship with not just the nurses at Arvada Peds on our frequent calls, but with Dr. Michael himself. And when we were faced with choosing a surgical procedure or not, Dr. Michael was able to discuss, in depth, the pros and cons and help us come to a decision. We trust him with our children's health and wellbeing, and he has never steered us wrong. I'm honestly shocked at these bad reviews, and they spurred me to write this one because their experiences absolutely do not align with ours. Arvada Peds is awesome, and Dr Michael is wonderful.

With a son who has Epilepsy Dr. Michael was a horrible provider! I am appalled by the lack of communication from my son's primary care provider and the rudeness with which I have been treated. I wanted to warn those parents in the area who may be searching for a pediatrician for their child that Dr. Starbuck and his staff do not seem to actually care about their patients and have no loyalty to patients who have been loyal to them.

I wouldn't say that Dr. Starbuck is a bad doctor, but my child is just a number at Arvada Pediatrics. It's very difficult to get the doctor himself. Rather, my child gets a nurse practitioner on most visits when he's sick. My child also has a heart condition, and even though he sees a heart specialist annually to monitor his condition, those records are sent to Dr. Starbuck, who has never once talked to me or my son about it. I don't think the doctor even knows he has a heart condition!

it is a nightmare to communicate directly to my Dr. Always have to leave messages to staff or nurses. it takes forever to get a referral. idiotic excuses... voted best in Broomfield but it did not show it to us
