WHY I DO NOT RECOMMEND
Against my better judgement I followed my Dermatologists recommendation (Dr. Anderson in New Braunfels TX) to have a very small bump on my nose removed through Mohs surgery by Dr. Michael Sorace in April of 2022. I had the small bump for years and was not noticeable. I should have reconsidered after my first consultation with Dr. Sorace when he tried to use some sort of fear factor and said “you need to get this done as soon as possible as your nose may fall off”. I kid you not. I just looked incredulously at him and called him on that announcement, and he just chuckled. Anyway, after several weeks passed, I made an appointment for the procedure on a Friday as that was the only day he spent in New Braunfels. What I thought was going to happen and what took place were two different things. Instead of removing the small bump he laid open my entire nose. No one explained exactly what would take place beforehand or would have canceled the entire procedure!! I could elaborate more but

Terrific Doctors and Staff
This was the first time that I visited Dr. Sorace's San Antonio office. I was impressed with the professionalism of the doctors and staff. Dr. Sorace made sure that I had all of basil cell carcinoma was scraped out of me before releasing me that day. Both Dr. Sorace and Dr. Shaw contacted me at the end of their work day to see how I was doing. That made my day.

While I wanted to give Dr. Sorace 5 stars as he was excellent, but I can't say this about his office mgr (billing) which is a reflection on him. Without going into great detail just beware as they'll bill your ins company a yr later then invoice you for the balance. I trust he will read this and improve it for the next patient. We won't be returning. Regards, VWoodlee

Dr. Sorace has very nice, comfortable office. He is very skilled at doing MOHS surgery. I had a rather large melanoma removed and he got it all in the first try. The scar, though looking pretty rugged at first, is now healing well. Part of it is almost invisible. His staff is very good at what they do, as well.

I have undergone extensive skin issues due to fair skin and the sun. Compared to 5 previous dermatologists Dr. Sorace is rough, freezes deep enough to cause scarring and does not listen to the patient.

I had a squamous cell carcinoma on my nose removed by Dr. Sorace. Although it was a bit scary for me Dr. Sorace and his staff explained everything that was going to happen and tried to make the procedure as painless as possible. I received two phone call that evening from Dr. Sorace and Dr. Shaw to check on me and gave their cell numbers in case I needed anything. Getting the news that you have a form of skin cancer is not easy but having a compassionate and knowledgeable doctor to treat you

Dr. So race and his entire staff was courteous, friendly and extremely professional today during a cancer removal from my arm. Even more impressive is when Dr. Sorace himself took the time and effort to call me to check on how things were going.
