As we age our body's change, with the long acting insulin duration extending causing low BS after bedtime. This problem was treated by other specialist with the same recommendation that I visit someone to change my diet. This problem evolved after my being a 50 year type 1 diabetic, without any changes to my caloric intake. So after visiting a host of specialist in Charlottesville, VA., it was a pleasure to find Dr. Santulli who was willing to take the time to evaluate the root cause of my problem before giving a diagnosis. While the other doctor's were highly recommended, they all failed to meet my expectations for diabetic care. I simply started to seek out a specialist on my own without any recommendations and was rewarded with finding one of what I think is the best doctor's available in the area. I was referred to Dr. Santulli for evaluation of a goiter and had my first visit with him on January 25, 2021. I was most impressed with my initial visit. He was extremely thorough and spent 45 minutes evaluating my health status & family history; explaining my condition, and outlining his plan for further evaluation and ongoing care. His office is very conveniently located and his staff is efficient and friendly. I would most highly recommend him to friends or family. I gave him a 5-star rating because there was no higher rating available.

Very pleased with Dr. Santulli, to the point of having made him my primary care physician. He spends considerable time providing explanations and addressing questions fully. He also explores options thoroughly. Knowledgeable, courteous and thoughtful. Overall, very professional and worth the 45 minute to one hour drive to see him.
