Cut my thumb tendons
I saw Dr. Michael Rubinstein (Dr. MR) due to me cutting through my thumbs tendons. The accident happened on Monday the ER doc called him and got me an appointment on Tuesday. Everyone in the office was so nice, professional it's like a well oiled machine, everyone has a job and they all know what their doing. Dr. MR came in and in no time I could tell I was in the right place. His experience, knowledge, compassion and confidence came through from the start. He explained in detail what I did and how he could fix it. Then he and his staff went to work to get me in the hospital the next day. Surgery was done on Wednesday (tendon repair) and by Wednesday night my nightmare of thinking my thumb would never work again was over! His bed side manner and personality are incredible. I've picked the wrong back surgeon in the past (wish I looked at his reviews first) your in great hands with Dr. MR and his staff. Thanks to all!

Thorough and informative
Dr. Rubinstein carefully examined my hands and patiently explained the problems and treatment alternatives, and answered my questions. He had an assistant to enter information into a computer, so he was able to give me his full attention. He was friendly and engaging. My only complaint was that I checked in online and arrived early and then waited over half an hour to see the doctor - but that is normal for doctor visits.

Surgical consultation
Dr. Rubenstein is always very professional and knowledgeable yet friendly and kind. He explains things in an easy to understand way. He did two trigger finger surgeries for me and now I need an index finger MCP joint arthrotomy/synovectomy with extensor tendon centralization. I am very confident in Dr. Rubenstein’s ability. Highly recommend!!!

Trigger finger injury
I am 70 percent improved from the physical therapy sessions he directed. I expect the rest of the healing is merely a matter of time. I expect the healing to continue for another 6 to 8 months. The physical therapy was great. The estimate of 70 healing is my personal sense of how much improvement.

Shoulders assessment. To perform arthosurface.
He is one of the few that can perform arthrosurface, unique for very active people, and athletes like bodybuilders and powerlifters etc, That want to continue without limitations. He is friendly respectful polite experienced and very knowledgable , took time to assess all my issues and listened to me and what I had to say. We talked about options and decided what was best. I totally felt he cares and wants to help me. All of his staff were helpful friendly and polite as well. I am in need of a bilateral shoulder replacement, the head of the humerus has severe wear most of the cartilage is gone. I lost great range of motion in all directions, and I am in a lot of pain.. currently taking pain medicine . Lookin forward to this procedure with Dr. Rubinstein . I am so thankful for him. He is a blessing to this world .

Front Staff is a joke. They don't return phone calls and seem to care less about their patients and their well-being. Every time I've called here, no one seems to be able to help. Transfer my call, then transfer me again and again. Namely "Terri" (I believe in scheduling) never answers the phone (always get vm) and doesn't return phone calls in a timely manner. I've had to follow up with her just to try to book an apt. And when you finally do get a hold of her, she is unapologetic and unsympathetic to your needs. Just took her 24hrs to return my call after I spent the whole previous day in the ER! A simple apology and a good morning would've gone a long way. Take note, if you're paying attention over there. Overall the Front Staff here needs to be retrained or fired. As far as Dr Rubinstein goes, well the verdict is still out. But as of right now, I am not satisfied with the procedure that was performed. Mobility is not where I wish it would be 2 months after surgery.
