Fantastic! I had knee replacement surgery, and after 6 months I walked without a cane, and I can kick up my heels and dance. I am 96.

The best review I can give Dr. Michael O'Rourke is I trusted him with my life. I found him a highly-skilled surgeon who knew what he was doing. His team of Physician Assistants (PA)and staff are world-class professionals. He will take the time to explain the procedures and make you feel at ease about the surgery. The PAs are fantastic and genuinely skilled. Together with Dr. O'Rourke and Jessica, they will make you whole again. Look no further if you need a surgeon for knees, hips, or other joints Dr. O'Rourke specialize. Ask yourself, why am I not going to Dr. O'Rourke.

Dr. O'Rourke is simply the best. He did a full & partial knee replacement for me about 5 years ago and he did a great job! Because of my trust in him I just had my right hip replaced. His bedside manner is 2nd to none and when I see him he spends a great deal of time with me discussing my concerns...

I had the most wonderful experience with Dr. O’Rourke! I recently had a complete knee replacement on my left knee, as a senior citizen. Dr. O’Rourke was so personable and knowledgeable, made me feel at ease to finally have the surgery. I am currently 6 weeks out from surgery and my knee feels brand new. I have been cleared to drive and walking without a cane! Dr. O’Rourke’s hands are anointed by God! Dr. O’Rourke and his staff are amazing, I truly recommend anyone with knee pain to schedule with Dr. O’Rourke-simply the best!!!

Really good. I had a problem and he saw me right away and no questions asked. I would refer him to anyone. Before my right knee surgery, the dr. gave me shots and other things for prepping for surgery and I didn't feel a thing. His assistant AMY is EXCELLENT at following up with me. I must have called her a million times and not once did she every complain.

This is the second surgery performed by Dr. Michael O'Rourke for my aging mother. She had her first knee replacement 2 years ago and another today. If you like a "hands off" approach, with no follow up or communication, rather ghost-like, then he's your guy. Not sure of his capabilities as an orthopedic surgeon, as my mother's first knee replacement surgery has not provided her with the mobility she anticipated. Time will tell. I can honestly say that if I ever need a knee replacement, I will find another reputable orthopedic surgeon. I don't think he is the surgeon for everyone. He does not look at his patients on a case by case basis. I believe he has a "boiler plate protocol" he follows, which is just too black and white. Couple that with his lack of follow-up and all I can say is NO THANKS!!

Dr. O’Rouke is quite pleasant and has a reputation for being very competent. However with that being said, I found his office in Wilmette to be very disorganized. I was asked to have x-rays before seeing him and my injury had not been discussed. Most important, I sat for TWO hours in the examining room waiting to be seen. All the staff and Dr. O’Rourke said was “we’re sorry for your wait”. I was about to leave when he finally appeared for a five minute exam.

My experience with Dr. O'Rourke was wonderful! My knee replacement went very well!! He was very thorough explaining the procedure & made me feel at ease! I would definitely recommend Dr. to anyone having these procedures done.

Phenomenally skilled physician. Leveraged MRI to find deep hip pain point of labrum tear to inject cortisone precisely where it needed to go after another physician failed twice before. Got first good night's sleep in almost 6 months, referral to top colleague for arthroscopic surgery to repair source of pain. Could have kissed him when I awoke day after shot. Thanks Dr. O'Rourke!

I decided to make an Appt with Dr O'Rourke after researching Conformis Knee Replacements. He uses that system and also came highly recommended by his other patients. I was very impressed when I saw him for my initial appointment. So much so, that I decided to schedule the surgery ASAP. I had been in pain for long enough and I had absolute confidence that he was the right surgeon for me. Surgery & recovery went extremely well and at 6 mos post-op, I am very, very happy! He is kind AND skilled!!

I was referred to Dr. O' Rourke by my pain management Dr. For a second opinion and he is Definitely one of the best! I suggest he be first on your list! Not only was he completely caught up on all my health issues but was such a great listener and very present. If I had not seen him I would have been told to have total knee replacement vs. a partial knee replacement! No Dr. had ever mentioned this to me. Great staff each one on top of everything! Dr. O'Rourke performed a bilateral knee replacement for me on Feb. 24th. after 5 weeks I ditched the cane and within 6 weeks I was off Narco completely. The surgery went off without a hitch and I was out of bed that night to go to the bathroom. It has been 10+ weeks since the surgery and I'm working out, biking and walking between 1 and 3 miles/day. To say I'm satisfied is an understatement. Kudos to Dr. O'Rourke and his staff along with the staff at Glenbrook Hospital and Whitehall Rehab.
