Dr. Michael Nissen, MD

I’ve worked with Dr. Nissen for about 6-7 years. He’s helped me immensely, honestly, beautifully. All 5 stars solidly in place.

The vision in my left eye became blurry and I had occasional floaters and, while I was traveling, I was told by the head of ophthalmology at one of the leading hospitals in the world that "we should watch it". But the condition persisted for a week, so I returned to New York, saw the ophthalmologist who has cared for me for 15 years, who diagnosed an obvious torn retina and other problems that required immediate repair. He sent me to Dr. Nissen, who was described as the best person to safely and properly fix this. (My diligence with others yielded a similar recommendation). That same day, Dr. Nissen began painful and unpleasant laser procedures and halted the deterioration and reversed the vision loss that I had sustained. He saved my sight.

Very superb and professional care I got from Dr. Michael Nissen and his staff when I have my doctor's visit yesterday. I will surely recommend it my friends. Great job ang God bless.

The waiting room is stuffy and ugly. His assistant gave me a cold. He was a jerk. "I have good news and bad news". Horrible experience. I found someone else.

What a fabulous Dr.Had a severely detached retina. Repaired it in one procedure.Even found an issue with my other eye that another Dr never found.Wonderful personality .My pulmonologist at NY Pres/Weill Cornell said he was the best of the best he wasn't kidding!
