Great Dr!
When I saw Dr Mullins in is office he was very personable and caring. He reviewed my records with me and my wife. He showed us the image of something that was in my lungs. He did not know what it was because it was unusual. We wanted to know what it was and he did to. So a biopsy was performed and It was good news.

Was told I would receive call for followup sleep study after having appointment with PA Edith. Received no call, have called two times and left messages. After two months, still no sleep study, no call.

Incompetent staff
Saw Dr Mullins again for my yearly check up in 2023. They scheduled my 2024 appt but never told me they moved locations & then when I finally arrived I learned they never transferred my appt. I wasted 3 hours that day chasing them down, trying to be worked in even though I had my appt card as proof. Never apologized. Never answered my calls or emails when I tried to reschedule (after waiting 2.5 hours to be “worked in” for my scheduled appt I had to leave to make my next appt of the day ). Then they just randomly rescheduled an appt without my knowledge. Still no apology. No accountability. I’ve never been treated with such disregard before. My time and healthcare are valuable. I took time off work. If the staff, including the office manager, can’t even get an appointment right and make a patient feel valued and cared for I certainly won’t trust them again with my healthcare.

Patient review of Dr. Mullins
I first met with Dr. Mullins when a CT scan of my chest showed a 0.5 inch nodule in 1 lobe of my lung. (I had no symptoms.) He was able to see me the on same day as a referral from my GP. Dr. Mullins is very personal, compassionate and competent as a radiologist skilled in interpreting an imaging abnormality in my lungs, performing a bronchoscopy of the affected lobe (done under general anesthesia) which led to confirmation of a small cancerous tumor. Subsequent surgery by other specialists excised the lobe of the lung containing the tumor which is being followed up by anticancer drug treatment.I would rate Dr. Mullins expertise and interpersonal skills as excellent, including physician referrals for surgery and subsequently for anticancer drug treatment. His actions led to detection of lung cancer at an early stage (I am a nonsmoker) and to selection of other medical experts (surgeon, anticancer drug specialists) for management of my early stage lung cancer.

Doesn’t care.
I have lymphoma, and it affects my lungs. After waiting 1.5 hrs, I was told, “You need to see your hematologist,” and “You need to see a cardiologist,” and “I care, it’s just not what I do.” I don’t know what he does, but I do know that he doesn’t care.

I never leave reviews unless it's really warranted. I feel like the persons who have left negative reviews must be folks who are never pleased with anything or anyone. Yes, sometimes the wait to see Dr Mullins or PA is long. However, this is because the practice is very busy and the appointments may run over because both Dr Mullins and his PA try to answer all patient's questions and get the patient on the correct medicine. I have recommended Dr. Mullins at least 7 times in the 3.5 years I have lived in South Carolina. I have not recommended my internist, dentist, ENT or any other doctor I have seen.

Dr. Mullins is very RUDE when you start asking him questions about your medical results and tests. He gets agitated very easily and implies you're a hypochondriac when he doesn't want to answer anymore of your questions. I will not be seeing him again, and I don't recommend him to anyone.

I also disagree with the comment in April. Dr. Mullen is the most compassionate and conscientious doctor I have ever met. I had recommended a friend to Dr. Mullin. My friend's husband was pretty sick and rushed to the hospital. Dr. Mullin went to the hospital after knowing him for a brief time at 3 a.m. in the morning. You won't find many doctors who will do what he has done for a patient. I have also known him to be an advocate for patients who do not have family close by. I would give him 10 Stars if I could.

I too, disagree with the negative comments of April 10th! He and his entire staff are extremely nice and professional. I’m not sure what that reviewer’s issue was, but possibly they have Dr. Mullins confused with someone else! I would recommend him to anyone needing assistance and trust him with my life, which by the way is, currently in his very capable hands!

As 2009 came to a close I developed a terrible, relentless cough. No one could give me a diagnosis. In January of 2010 I saw Dr. Mullins. Bingo! He nailed it. It was Staphylococcus Aureus and Pseudomonas, two really bad bugs. My latest visit my diagnosis was clear; however, I continue to see Dr. Mullins and his staff. His PA Edith is a great asset to his practice. They have worked faithfully with me and only God knows how many times and ways they have saved my life.

I cannot disagree more with the negative comment posted on April 10th. Other than a long wait, I was more than happy with my first appointment with Dr. Mullins, someone highly recommended by my primary care physician. Everyone in the office was pleasant and helpful, and Dr. Mullins was professional, kind, and reassuring. He explained my test results thoroughly, answered my questions, and addressed my concerns. His pleasant disposition made me very comfortable, and I look forward to my next appt.
